You know......... I could post at least 50 kits in the "On the Workbench" section...here are just 8 But the one I am "smitten" with right now, is....... This One. This is the Fujimi Cayman S kit, with the Scale Productions GT conversion. I saw Zoom-Zoom's completed build, and had to have one. I just shot the stripes on it about 30 min ago, so I still need to do some clean up on some overspray, and touch up a couple of areas of silver. The main color is Tamiya TS-75 Mica Silver, the fluro red-orange is MM. I will do some final touch-up, and sanding, then follow it up with a 2K clear. Enjoy.

I wanted to add some outside shots of my one and only regular Vette. The ones I posted earlier that were taken inside did not do the Mica Red justice.

Thanks for the compliments I used Tamiya TS-16 Yellow.

Here is my one and only regular Vette. I shot it with Tamiya TS-39 Mica Red. I striped the rims, and re-shot them with Alclad 2 Polished Aluminum.

I am a GT40 nut, therefore I have several GT40 kits in my stash. I was working on one of them about three weeks ago to get it ready for a contest, and I had an idea on how to make the pesky seat rivets stand out. So, I grabbed a silver pencil from my aircraft modeling supplies, and I sharpened it to a nice point. I then held the seat under a lit magnifying glass, and outlined each rivet.......voila!!

After 8 months of tinkering with this one........ It is finally done. If I decide to come to Atlanta in November, you all might see this one.....

Ismael: Thanks for getting this started today. I feel that most of America has indeed "Forgotten" My thoughts and prayers go out to all who lost loved ones in the attacks, and all of those who were affected.

Clear orange, over a pearl white??????

Well.... It must be beginners luck. I have always done cars that are one color, nothing fancy like what I did tonight. I can make a single stage paint look like it is still wet after it's dry, but this one was a little more challenging. I should have used my Iwata, but the tip was soaking in lacquer thinner, so I used my Badger 360. -

I know for a "Fact" that this car will "Never" be kitted. This is my 1977 Pontiac Can Am. This picture was taken at the Pontiac Southern Nationals back in 2001. I waited 7 years for the photographer to publish this picture, and give me 15 min of fame, Too bad I sold this car 8 months before it was in a magazine. At least he named me as the owner -

Ok........ Here is what I did. On the far right, it is Tamiya X-26(Clear Orange) over TS-45(White Pearl) The center is Tamiya X-26(Clear Orange) over TS-30(Silver Leaf) The far left is Tamiya X-24(Clear Yellow) over TS-30(Silver Leaf) I'M going with the Center Color!!!!!!!!! -

Clear orange, over a pearl white??????
69*Goat replied to 69*Goat's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I was going to try that tonight, I have already painted and striped this body twice now, because I tried the HOK line of paint that was sold at my LHS, and the silver base coat, wrinkled/crazed the plastic(even through Tamiya white primer). On attempt number two, I shot the body with TS-30(Silver Leaf), and let this dry for a week....it was nice and smooth, until I shot the HOK clear orange over it, and it wrinkled it again.......... Sooo, this time I was going to try Tamiya primer, Tamiya Pearl White, and then Tamiya Clear Orange. I might try Tamiya TS-30(Silver Leaf) and then Tamiya Clear Orange. We will see........ -
I judged your Dragon Slayer 18 Wheeler, and your Dodge Ram Slammer

I placed 3rd at my local show!!!

Thanks Matt.... I did not think I stood a chance, especially against some of the cars that were in that class. I figured the Yellow Surfer VW would have beat it, I knew the two Willey's would. Thanks for the 3rd. -

I entered a C6-R that I had completed earlier this year........ I was surprised to place third!!! I was competing against 15 or so other nicely built cars.
