I must of misread it- I'm glad I'm not the only person that does it that way-

Im an amateur modeler and usually soak the chrome parts in Super Kleen, scrub with a brush. When rinsed and dried, I paint with gloss black and then spray with Rustoleum Metallic finish. It works just as good, if not better than spending the $$ on Spaz Stix stuff for the finished product.

Hello- Greetings from West Virginia. I'm new to modeling and have a lot of Nascar kits I bought back in early 2000's and just starting to work on them. I mainly have race cars to build, but also have a couple Formula One Tamiya kits still unopened. It's great that there is a modeling forum like this that will help and guide new guys like me to become better modelers. I'm looking forward gaining knowledge on the subject. Thanks All-
