  1. I agree that it is hard to tell from photos if it is carbon fiber or painted. Does matte clear diminish the effect of carbon fiber that much? Were any of the cars painted?
  2. Look like another Aoshima Lamborghini to add to the list. For some close-ups of the car what the movie "Need for Speed", there is a Sesto Elemento in the race at the end of the movie. As Matt said the Carbon weave is not noticeable in photos, but it sure is noticeable in the movie.
  3. I am hoping they do the 1957 Ford gasser with a new tool Cammer 427 SOHC
  4. I am a diehard chevy fan and was never a Mustang fan. Back in 2012 I was in Tampa for a week and rented 2012 Mustang Convertible. I have wanted one ever since, just can't afford one.. some day. What bugs me is in town there is a girl under 20 who owns a 2013 Boss 302 and another guy again under 20 with 2013 Shelby GT500. Must have a rich daddy.
  5. Saw this same car a few weeks ago, it is real. Note it does have the SS hood.
  6. I have no idea, but how about a test. Remember the old Krazy Glue commerical where a guy Krazy glued his hard hat to a steel girder on some tall building somewhere. Lets find an idiot willing to do the same test, do two tests with and without accelerator. If he falls then I guess it weakens the bond.
  7. Sure would be nice. We are halfway there, the original issue Nova has the correct LT-1 and the latest Copo Nova has a 1970 Grille included. Two weeks ago I saw two Yenko Novas, LeMans Blue 1969 Yenko 427 and a Daytona Yellow 1970 Yenko Deuce.
  8. Looking at the Cadillac, I would love to see a kit of Billy Gibbons Cadzilla.
  9. If you already have an airbrush then just order the correct color from Scale Finishes and get started using the airbrush. You don't need a spray booth to start airbrushing, do it outside, in the garage, anywhere really. I have been planning to build a spray booth for 30 years and still have not got around to it.
  10. Can we believe the July 2016 release date on one of those photos for the Huracan, it doesn't look too far along?
  11. looks like they are finally letting us know what their plans are. https://vk.com/toy_gear (Scroll down)
  12. Nice job on he replica. I still have a 1972 CT 175 in Candy Red.
  13. Very interesting, cool looking car. Have you thought about putting the batteries in a display base and running the power through a contact point (brass exhaust pipe, metal suspension piece or something).
  14. Do we have 4 out of 5 dentists here to recommend Colgate? I remember trying this about 20 years ago, the white toothpaste seemed to dull the finish, but the clear green? gel toothpaste worked good.
  15. I noticed the 1/16 1955 Nomad on the steven's international list. I sure hope they bring out the 1/16 1957 Nomad, that one has been hard to find.
  16. Emal Matt @ Gravity Colors and ask him what he needs. If it is a factory color, the year make model and color name. A link to picture of a car painted the particular color helps.
  17. yes, you can ask for custom colors to be made. I have had it done a few times. One was a factory color that they have decided to add to their line of colors. A few others I sent him a color sample which he matched.
  18. Have you tried to fit a larger tire on real Chevy II, not much room back there for a bigger tire like the slick.
  19. How about these from Keith Markshttp://public.fotki.com/mofobow/amc/70s_gremlin/
  20. I talked to him last night. Placed an order about 10 days ago and received it Friday. Give hima few days and if no reply, email him again.
  21. Just email Firebird and as for them. I have asked for stuff not seen on the site and other things in different colors and they come through with them
  22. Are you referring to these from Uschi van der Rosten? http://www.uschivdr.com/products-in-detail/woodgrain-trucker-s-delight-burl-woodgrain-decals/
  23. What wheels did you use on the Cameo, they look good? Every metallic paint is different, there are many different flake sizes that may cause what you are seeing when you are thinning the paint.
  24. Nice Cameo. My Iwata has a 0.3 mm needle/nozzle.
  25. All depends on the color, I have sprayed colors that cover great and get the desired effect in 2 coats. Others are very translucent and may take 4, 5, 6 ..... or more coats to get full coverage. This is a darker blue, so it should be fine. I recently painted a 2013 Boss 302 with Scale Finishes Gotta Have It Green and used less than a quarter of the 2oz bottle. For air pressure you need to test your setup to get the best results, could be anywhere between 20-30psi. I use an Iwata HP-C plus gravity feed and get best results at 27psi.
