  1. Well I can't edit my post but I've procured the kit I was looking for, thanks.
  2. I apologize for the very late reply but I just saw yours. This is from Ikea, my first and probably last purchase from there. It's very nice when finished and looks nice in my living room, but was kind of a pain to assemble. It can hold up to 25 1/25 models. It's called the Klingsbo in their online catalog.
  3. I want to detail an already painted interior with a darker shade but want to be able to easily clean up any mistakes as I don't have the steadiest of hands. Would water or alcohol based acrylic be good for this? I've never used acrylics before so am looking for any and all advice. Thanks.
  4. Re/ the aluminum slants, that's true. They made both aluminum blocks and heads but never combined them on the same engine and from reading I've done on it, it's not a good idea to combine the two, for reasons I don't quite recall. These were only put in some of the early Valiants and Lancers and they were all 170s.
  5. I need everything but the body so even if you have one with a damaged or no body but everything else is there, that's fine. I bought a 57 Desoto in resin and I need this kit to complete. A complete rebuilder would be okay too. Posting pics of models for trade, pick one. The hot rods are open but complete and the trucks are still sealed.
  6. It sure was. I was very excited when my dad pulled up to the house in a brand new one just like this.
  7. Thank you.
  8. Chassis and engine done, interior painted but not yet detailed or assembled. In mock-up after paint job. Painted Ford lime gold and 3D wheels by Canuck 3D via George Bojaciuk. ? Having wheel cover center decals printed by STS.
  9. I finally found some cast resin bodies I really wanted and want to know how to properly prep them for painting. I've read that they need a good soak in Purple Power to clean them of mold release. Full strength? One body maker recommended bleach. Should I go by the recommendation from each maker or will PP be okay for all of them? Thanks in advance for your advice.
  10. Yes but that would be a T as I'm sure you know. I built stock Ts for my dad in all the versions AMT had many years ago.
  11. Those are the ones. So far my searches have not turned any up. If you run across them again could you message me and let me know? As far as the 58, they're out there but makers make them and then they don't. I even had one once about 15 years ago. There's one on Ebay right now but it doesn't look so good in the pictures. Plus I've seen mixed reviews about the maker re/ quality. The quest continues. Thanks for your reply.
  12. Do you know if the scoop is incorporated into the hood on the Cougar or is there a flat hood option? Is there a chance you make full stock wheel covers for a 67 Mustang? I'm also looking for a 58 Ford conversion kit to use with the AMT 57.
  13. I wish they'd offer a New Yorker version of the 57 Chrysler. I've just never liked the 300 front end in the 57-59 body.
  14. Welcome and I understand it's tough to lose your dad. My dad wasn't a modeler but he helped me build my first one because he always supported my interests. God bless them both in Heaven.
  15. Welcome friend. Better late than never!
