Wow George - nice work area. Looks like you're very organized and neat - the way a building area should be. You have more kits and supplies than my LHS. Love what you did with the paint spoons. I drilled holes in the handles and put them on a shower curtain hook. Don't have as many as you though. How did you do the blue paint holders? Just drill holes in a 1" x 4"? Or is that a special stand? I could use something like that.

Long ago I had a plan to create a fixture that would be used to hold drum so I could accurately drill holes and mount treaded rod into. A wheel would drilled and then mounted to the studs. Tiny nuts would hold the in place or be removed for display. Never got around to trying it and my eyes aren't good enough any more.

I drove the Project Eagle '75 Nova drag race car 3 times. My best was pushing 200mph and around 7et. I believe it used to run super comp. My normal job was packing the chute and torqueing the lug nuts. -
Custom PC decals
crazyjim replied to markeasley49's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There's been several posts about making decals. I've never done it. Something about an Alps printer if you need white because normal printers don't do white. I'm sure some knowledgeable person will reply soon. -
What a great day!

The flag doesn't bother me. I'm an official honorary Kentucky Colonel - bestowed on me by the governor of Kentucky several years ago. It's good for as long as I live. -

WOW!!! I always go to DC for Veterans Day; many times to ride in the POW/MIA demonstration ride with Rolling Thunder; and every 5 years for Father's Day at The Wall with Sond & Daughters In touch. Fortunately for me, I'm not around when really nasty weather (SNOW) has been there. The city and surrounding area must be completely shut down with all that white stuff. Looks like too much for even a snow blower to handle. Settle in, stay warm, work on some models, and wait for the thaw. -
Oh yeah. Corel has been around for a long time. I've been using Arts & Letters Express for a long time. Did the license plates come with it or did you copy from Acme? I copied some over from Acme and I'm rting to think up more vanity plate names so I can fill a page of glossy photo paper.

Jody, I don't get it. How are other people supposed to help if they don't live around you?

Frederickburg is near DC isn't it? 11 1/2 is a lot better than the 20 - 30 predicted on the news. Be careful out there. Our local paper had a pic of the Korean War Veterans Memorial coveredd with snow. How appropriate for the Veterans of that cold place. -
Straight pipes aluminum tubing?
crazyjim replied to mackattack's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Just did a set of pipes on a '33 Willys. All you need is a tubing bender - looks like a tightly wound spring - and bend slowly & easily. I then removed the aluminum tube and cut where I thought appropriate. Pics of my Willys will be posted soon. -

Crown Central looks pretty good, Ed. Hope all you folks up around Virginia, PA, etc. are good after the blizzard. The Weather Channel was saying 20 - 30 inches of snow for you, power outages, school & business closures, etc. Don't hurt yourself shoveling. -

I hear where you're at Jeff & George. One of the happiest days of my life was when I sold my huge 2 stage snow blower to a biker friend. I felt so good I threw in a couple of snow shovels, ice chopper, a bag or 2 of melting salt - and I moved to Florida. -

NO SNOW!! Cloudy this morning and heavy rain coming in this afternoon along with colder temps. A high of only 58 Sunday and down to 33 at night. Looks like the storm is coming straight down from the north. Maybe we can get our Canadian builders to keep their cold weather up there. -
Looking good.

Nice. I understand the green paint and that you taped off for the blue. But how did you get the green in the middle of the doors, hood? Figure you used an airbrush. Turn down the pressure to get the fogging?

Maybe the newspaper has an online edition. That could save you the scanning.
