GMC General (Coca Cola kit)
henry57 replied to henry57's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Started to polish the cab and hood a bit today, not real happy with the Nason clear, but it polishes easy and has a nice shine. -

Does anyone know what actual color the engine is supposed to be? Online search shows about every color of green there is -
Growing up in the 80's I remember these trucks being everywhere. Loved watching all the big rigs as a kid. In nearly 40 years of building models I've never built a semi kit. I ran across several listed on marketplace and figured why not, I haven't built anything in a while. Seems like a pretty decent kit, but you certainly have to study the instructions and pay close attention to what things are. I can certainly see why there's not many finished models of this kit posted here. I'm no where near finished but planning another build as soon as finish this one, they're addicting.

Did it go on like that, or did it show up after it dried?

Interior looks great. Hard to see in most pics but the backs of the seats are black as well.

Really nice, love seeing these built. -
I've seen a few threads pop up in the past, but haven't seen anything discussed lately, unless I've missed them. Is anybody working on anything? I haven't done anything in 1/25 but I did print some wheels for a cheap 1/16 rc rock crawler.

Beautiful paint. How much was a bottle of the MCW Lacquer? How well does it cover?

Let's See Some Glue Bombs!

Yeah the body is in great shape, the only thing wrong with it is somebody sanded the door handles off and had glued some from another kit on it. -

Wow would not have guessed that. Was it ever reissued? Guess I'll probably never find a hood for it. -

A clean, one-owner '57 Chevy

That's actually a hard top interior, the convertible used different material and would be red and silver.
