  1. Very nice build, Steve. Did you use the Revell Chrome Spray on the chrome parts?
  2. Still need to install Fuel Lines and some wiring
  3. I was at the local Michaels store (Saint John, NB, Canada) on Friday and they had a few Revell kits. They had the Rev. '71 Mustang Boss 351 $39.99. Unfortunately the only coupon was 40% off on line orders. When the email flyer arrived, there was a 30% coupon. I went yesterday and noticed there was a variety of Revell kits . I purchased the '71 Mustang . I was told that hobby shops wanting to sell Revell kits, have to purchase their complete line. Vehicles, Boats, Planes, etc. If this is the case, there is probably a problem with Michael's distribution system. The exchange rate certainly affects the price of model kits in Canada. $1.37 today.
  4. Would love to see this cast in Resin Awesome workmanship!
  5. I have the Clear Cougar body (unfortunately painted Yellow. I tried to strip the paint off but was only partly successful )and it has the Roof Hatch... The MK Kenz & Leslie Cougar FC's body resembles that of the Eddie Schartman Cougar as shown. My guess is the Dyno Don Cougar FC will be reissue of the Model King K&L Cougar FC..which would have the incorrect hood scoop opening for one thing.
  6. looks good! What paint did you use?
  7. I understand what you are saying.. I was thinking of using the Sedan and the hemi and interior from the Moebius / Model King '65 Plymouth Melrose Missle.. Another question ..is the interior of the Moebius / Model King '65 Plymouth Melrose Missle correct? The reason I ask is I have seen photos of the interior and the car had the interior panels and seats that match the Moebius sedan.

    29 Model A 823c

Wow! That's a great build...! Do you have a link to the WIP? Also Rev. does have the Louvered trunk lid in the '32 5 window kit # 85-4228

    Buick GN

Here is a Buick GN that I just finished.. Interior was painted with Craft paint and the Body was polished.. Made the decals..
  10. Very nice build. I'm wondering if using the Moebius / Model King '65 Plymouth Melrose Missle would be a good kit to build the "Black Arrow"?
  11. Outstanding workmanship! This is the first time I've looked thru this garage diorama.. Great detail thru out. I really like the Grime on everything.. esp on the floors and walls. Unfortunately photos are missing from the beginning..
  12. If you read pg 2 of the Model Car Science article. It states the Astro wheels have dual spool plates with Walnut spokes. Perhaps the Texture was the was AMT replicated the Dual spool plates and Walnut spokes..Since this is a Custom vehicle I'm not going to concern myself with the texture.. Just paint to add color to the wheels
  13. Something else I found while searching for info on the Surf Woodie was George Barris produced a Motorized Surf Board to go with the Surf Woodie. There is a Motorized Surf Board in the reissue Gramdpa Munsters Drag-U-La. You'll notice the one in the Dragula kit is different that the one in the photo(Off the net) Not sure what type engine is on the board in the photo.
  14. Tim Boyd did a build review of the Roadster version in his AMT's odd-Rod Roadsters kit review, Model Cars, Nov. 2014 # 190..
  15. Guess I'll have to scratch up the part and then cast in resin..LOL
  16. That's kool... What is the Cutter you are using? How does it know the design to cut? You can purchase Miniature Hex bolts and nuts or just use Hex Rod. I have one of those kits to build..
  17. I had one of the first issues of the Surf Woodie why back when.. Fortunately, I've been able to pick up several copies of the reissue (2003 ?). So I could build each version. But I'll probably make a few changes..Change the tires, wheels, engine etc. for the non woodie versions. The engine would look kool in a '60's Mustang..
  18. From Model Car Science Sept. 1965
  19. Here is a scan of the article on the Surf Woodie from Hot Rod magazine Apr. 1965 The Body color appears to be close to Testors Boyds Roadster Orange.. However I have photos of the Surf Woodie that shows it in a different color.. I'll post those in another thread
  20. I haven't picked up the '54 Hudson yet. But I admit I'm not looking foreward to the parts having Texture. I guess I'll have to see what happens when paint is applied. One would have to ask Why id there Texture to the parts? Personaly I like nice smooth surfaces to apply paint to. I hope Moebius goes back to the standard smooth texture..
  21. Been working on this Corvair powered T for months .. Just can't paint in the garage in - Temps. (hit low of -27c here this winter) Still somethings to do.
  22. For those of you that want to build a better Cougar, get the '73 Cougar for the Correct Inner front fenders..And some other parts..
