  1. BINGO!
  2. Thank you Guys, I'm glad you like this pair! fordh8r: I applied some Fujimi decal (rather call it a sticker as it is not waterslide) on the sideblades of the blue R8, which has a texture similar to the heat resistant materials. It looks really cool!

    Audi R8

Hi Guys, let me introduce my pair of Revell R8's here: I built them a little more than a year ago right after release, mostly both of them are box stock. The 1st one is painted white, interior is black w/chocolate brown and I used some CF decals on the sideblades and in the engine bay. I replaced the stock rims with Fujimi AVS Model 5 "18 rims: The 2nd one is painted metallic blue, the interior is black w/tan. I used silver on the sideblades and grilles, added a silver line decal on the lower sides. I also let the taillight lenses clear to give it a 'light-tuner-like' look. Stock rims were replaced with Aoshima Trafficstar RTM "20s: And the 2 brothers: Thanks for watching!
  4. Thx!
  5. Thanks for the additional pics, I like them! Your job looks flawless to me, congrats!
  6. Thanks for the kind answers Guys!
  7. Thanks!
  8. Hi Guys, here is my Tamiya New Beetle - something different. First off I started it as a 'girlie' car for my wife, but decided to build it something different instead. So I made differences in the front bumper: filled the turning lights and cut off the grille with the foglights, used mesh instead. I opened the front hood but made it into a trunk as I put the engine behind the backseats. So I stratchbuilt a trunk compartment, painted it black and added black carpet material inside and on the interior of the hood. I found the hinges in my leftover box. So I put an engine behind the seats, I don't really know what engine it is as it was also part of my leftover box. I only used the engine block as had to work in a small area. So real fanatic modifying builders, be gentle with me as I did not modify the car to a RWD from a FWD, but modified the exhaust making a hole for it at the rear underside. Then I put some stuff in the engine bay also, making a firewall, a turbo (from a Mustang), battery, some tubes, everything from my parts box. I also added some heat resistant foil on the inside of the hood and a rubber belt to make the closing easier, hinges are leftover. Added a roof spoiler also and used PE parts for the brakes, license plates and interior stuff. Cut the holes of the backing and rear foglights at the rear bumper to make room for the exhaust tips, and painted the lower part of the bumper black to imitate a diffusor. The interior is dark red and black with PE parts and some carpet material, changed the stock front seats to racing seat, added CF on the backside of them, and decided not to use the headrest of the rear seats - would have looked stupid IMO. Wheels are from a R34 Skyline, Bridgestone decals from a Silvia, paint is DupliColor. Enough of the talk, here are the pics. Comments and criticism are welcome:
  9. Thanks!
  10. Top job from what I can see, the color is great and the shine is excellent! As was mentioned above, more pics would be great!
  11. Thanks, fantastic job!!!
  12. Thank you guys! Here is the boxart of this Tamiya kit I turned into a street tuner: Thanks for the comments!
  13. Hi Guys, I finished this Tamiya Peugeot 206 WRC kit and . The interior was modified a bit as I rebuilt the dash, put 'normal' seats and belts inside, used carpet material on the floor. The holes all over the body were filled, a roof antenna and a rear wiper was added, the muffler-end were also replaced and the wing was rebuilt. I used some PE parts and painted the body with DupliColor flip-flop car paint, that's it, here are the pics, I hope you like it: Thanks for watching!
  14. Thank you guys!
  15. Very nice job on both! May I ask you what the seat of the Challenge is painted with? Looks very realistic! Thank you!
  16. It looks hot, the shine is just perfect and good details on the seatbelts also (from what I can see), so good job overall!
  17. Thank you guys for the answers! Here is the kit built box stock I made the conversion from:
  18. Looks cool in yellow, do you have any other pics of it? I hope you don't mind to correct you: the Superamerica is based on the Ferrari 575M, not on the 550 Maranello Let's see more pics of it!!!
  19. Hi Guys, this is the Tamiya 307 WRC kit, built street style. The holes were filled, the wing was modified, so was the interior to match street style. PE parts were used like brake discs, grilles, emblems and seatbelts in the interior. The interior is all black, the body is painted purple (to match the factory color of the real cars) of Dupli Color car paint. Replaced the rims and the exhaust tip and that's it. Here are the pics: Thanks for watching!
  20. Thanks for the replies, Guys!
  21. Hi Guys, I finished this build last year. Longest build of my life so far. Fujimi Lexus kit, KA Models PE parts, and some other. I changed the stock rims to Aoshima Leonhardiritt Waffe 20's. I used PE parts in the interior for emblems, pedals, power window switches, air condition grilles, remote control for the massager rear seat and the trim around the speakers, cd player and gear. Beside these all seatbelts, a PDA, a cellphone, a notebook, a cd in the cd player, some money and a figure reading the daily news were added. I used Fujimi decals for the wooden trims. The interior is painted black and ivory with tan carpets, the body is painted a kind of sea blue by Dupli Color. First time using BMF around the window and on the door handles. Also used PE parts for the brakes. The emblems and side stripes from the KA Models parts set. I put a parking ticket under the wipers and that's it. Pics: C&C are welcome! Thanks for watching!
