  1. Ummm, yeeaahh... I wish that was the biggest problem I had this week. David G.
  2. What fun! The Desert Fox in HO scale. Looks great so far! David G.
  3. I was basing my recommendation on this pic. I see your point with all the other thrusters in place. I think I would go with the two you have above, but moved inward under the center of the fin arcs. But that's just an opinion. I love builds like this just for that reason; there's no right way or wrong way to build them. It's all about what works for you. I look foreward to seeing more of this one. David G.
  4. Excellent work on all of those, but I think the old Ford is the best of the lot. David G.
  5. Very cool! I love the engine, you've achieved a great metallic finish on the blower and valve covers. David G.
  6. I don't think I've seen anything like that before. It looks WWII era, is that right? Nice camo paint and weathering. David G.
  7. I love flying cars! Excellent concept and body modification, but I would move the jet thrusters a bit more inboard. David G.
  8. A very good build- the interior is excellent! David G.
  9. A good solid looking build- great interior work. David G.
  10. Thanks for the pics Gregg. I have two of these on order from the LHS; it looks like I won't be disappointed. David G.
  11. For fuel and brake lines I usually use the wire from the twist ties that come in the boxes with the trash bags. I just strip off the outer plastic or paper coating and the steel wire inside is the perfect diameter and color for both applications. Hope this helps. David G.
  12. Excellent work on this one! The paint- detail- everything looks great! David G.
  13. I already have two on order from my LHS. David G.
  14. Really Doc? You use baby doll heads and scorpion tails as trim accessories on model cars and you're worried about the "proper" use of decals? But yes some of the others do bring up good points about period appropriate logos, etc., but other than that... the rest is up to you! David G.
  15. Excellent work! The added detail is a great finisher. David G.
  16. Excellent work! It kind of looks amphibious. David G.
  17. Looking good Sean! For the intake, if it is (or if you want it to be) an aftermarket, Edelbrock, etc, then I would say aluminium colored like the transmission. A factory stock manifold would likely be cast iron and painted the same color as the engine block, or weathered and rusty looking. Your transmission looks like an automatic- the big square part on the bottom would be where the fluid reservoir, valve body and filter would be housed. Hope this helps. David G.
  18. Old swing axle Bugs only had one CV joint on the inner end of the axle. That's what causes the wheels to kick out when lowering the rear. The Bugs made after 1968 have a CV joint on both ends of the axle and can be lowered and keep a more proper wheel camber. The front was usually lowered with dropped spindles. So that looks about right. David G.
  19. Nope, flat six as far as I know. I'm not even sure there was ever a four cylinder engine offered. David G.
  20. The funny thing is, I can almost see Tommy Chong guest-starring as Mellow Dave, the record store man. David G.
