Got some paint today…

Hi, this is my take on the Cozy Coupe from Zoom On Models… hope you guys like it…

Just a quick build.. Change the rims, add some details Ike the tailights and the exhaust pipe… it’s just that we’re having some rain here for a couple of days… Hope to finish in time. The roadster is an old build O plan on taking to the GSL also…

Man, I know this post is Ollllllld... But here are my two cents... 1195's are as you state, to convert kit 15"wheels to 19" wheels and tires... I think these are based on some Detail Master rims that were availabe some time ago... 2398's and 2399's are to convert 19" rims to 23" wheel size, they come in stepped and smooth rim finish and also used to be available in red, blue, purple anodized finish. Y have used some Tamiya and Aoshima rims with these sleeves and have had nice results. Hope this helps out...

Clear applied… came out fine ?

Was able to put some paint on it… Tamiya metalic orange and pearl white… has a little mishap on the front panel, I’ll try to retouch it tomorrow. Using these rims for mock-up… the other set went kaput while trying to remove some paint from them. Ordered a new set on eBay, we’ll see how this turns out ??‍♂️?

Setting some details… the wheels aren’t the ones that will go on the model… I’m having some issues with the paint on the other set of wheels…

Thanks… I’ll give it a a light wet sanding as you suggest… Paint will most likely be pearl white and metalic orange… Tamiya spray paint…

Final coat of primer at last… I all goes well base paint tomorrow…

As always running almost late… well this is an idea for the rims… drilled the center thru and plan in using upholstery nails as center caps… will paint the rims and re chrome the outer ring…
