1994 Ford Ranger 4x4
dougp replied to StanGlover's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Great build, I've been wanting to build a Ranger. I use a layer of Micro Kristal Klear on my chrome headlights. It dries clear, but not like clear plastic. -
You out did yourself on this one. Great paint job.

Very nice. My first boss had an Electra just like this. Let me drive it to run errands. It was the perfect definition of a land yacht. It floated around everywhere but still had plenty of power for it's era.

Your best yet. Keep up the good work.
-
Great color and very clean build
-
Very nice classic
-
Absolutely gorgeous...
-
One of your best builds yet. Nice attention to detail as it relates to the show. Keep 'em coming.

The Inca Gold just pops on the smooth body lines, great work.

Thanks everyone for the great replies. I like both too, but the Challenger has always been one of my favorites.

Another nice recovery. One of my favorite Chargers.

Fantastic build but the paint is way too nice for a working cruiser...

I have to agree with everyone else's comments with my two cents worth... Absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally complete two more. The first is a AMT '17 Camaro built to replicate the Hot Wheels Speed Graphics Camaro using custom made decals. Next is was a gift from a friend, a Revell '13 Challenger. The wheels and tires are from a Dodge Sidewinder and custom made exhaust tips.

A little of everything. Very nice builds.

Great group of competitors. Nicely done. -
A different color for sure, but nicely done.

Bucky said “I think the '68 300 is one of Chrysler's most beautiful automobiles, ever” I have to agree. Keep up the great work Michelle. I’m enjoying your growth as a builder.

Amazing transformation!

Great job. These kits need the additional detail and you did it. I have the same kit on the bench along with the '18 to replicate a '16 GT 1:1 we had and the '18 GT we now own. Where did you get the wheels and would you be willing to p-mail me your headlight prints?

Very cool and I enjoyed the build thread. -
Great build and conversion. I remember those beauties in my younger days. They gave the meaning to the term 'land yacht'.
-
Looking good. I really like the finished engine bay. Wmobie has a great idea. I did the same type of engine cover on a pro mod nova I built awhile and it looks awesome.

Looking for 1/16 scale tires & wheels
dougp replied to Bullitt's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
3D Specialties on Shapeways also has 1/16 wheels. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/3d-model-specialties?section=1%2F16+Scale&s=0 And forward resin on ebay has some. I highly recommend his, the casts are better than most found in kits. I used a set of his 1/12 on my camaro. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Resin-1-16-Scale-Cragar-S-S-Mag-Wheels-Standard-Street-Depth/264115507618?hash=item3d7e82d1a2:g:iHMAAOSwBRNbwLqs https://www.ebay.com/itm/Resin-1-16-Scale-15-Steel-Wheels-Front-Rear-Set-Standard-Street-Depth/323400892001?hash=item4b4c31fe61:g:IGEAAOSwHnFVzokl Also watch WalMart for sales on diecast, you can sometimes pick up a car with a nice set of wheels for the same price or less than what most ask for just the tires and wheels.
