Revell Jaguar XKSS painted with Tamiya Deep Metallic Blue. Aftermarket plug wires added but otherwise box stock. Couldn't get the hinged bonnet to work (same problem as with the E-Type) but otherwise happy.

My second yellow drag car in a row, this time it's the Revell '64 Thunderbolt kit with Fred Cady decals to build the car from 1965. The body was painted with Tamiya Yellow, basic wiring was added to the engine and the wheels came from the Revell '32 Ford kits. I now have seven completed examples, with a Butch Leal version still to do.

Nah, it's the wrong scale! Looks like it has some semblance of an engine though..

According to MegaHobby, it's a Ford GT. I was hoping for the TS050....

Here's my Revell PT Cruiser which I built recently to replicate my daily driver of 15 years ago. I had to convert it to RHD.

This is an OOB build of the Jim DeFrank Barracuda using the recently issued MPC kit with Slixx Decals, Tamiya Pearl Yellow and Testor's Dark Cherry Pearl paint.

I don't know the manufacturer of the body, but it is a nice casting. I bought it from a friend with a Revell Coupe donor kit. I added the rear fender skirts from plasticard and applied Testor's Dark Bronze Metallic from a rattlecan, covered in Tamiya clear, which darkened the paint somewhat. The interior and firewall had to be sectioned to match the body, but otherwise the kit was built stock apart from plug wires and parts box wheels/tyres.

I know it looks like a Jada diecast, but here's my Revell 1/24 Dodge Challenger, painted Testor's Panther Pink. Built out of box save for Pegasus wheels and tyres. And yes, I know it's not to everyone's tastes.

My first ever Porsche build is finished, Flying Lizard livery on a 911 GT3R, I believe the full size car raced at the 2011 Le Mans 24 Hours was an RSR so not a true replica. Enjoyable build, no complaints about the Studio 27 decals or Fujimi kit, the one-piece glass fits perfectly without the need for glue - amazing.

This is the Revell of Germany (as was) kit, painted in Tamiya Forest Green Metallic, with a Purple/Green Iridescent clearcoat. The wheels are by Pegasus, narrowed to fit the kit's tyres.

I was inspired by the many UK built Fordsons (as we call them) from the 70's. Starting with the Revell gasser kit, much work was done to convert the drag racer to a street rod: Front struts and steering rack from the Revell Pro Stock Camaro, with lower arms from a Buttera T. The rack was cut into four pieces, adapted to right hand drive and narrowed (a lot!). The upper strut mount had to be moved, and the inner guards were extended back with plastic card. Rear end was sourced from the Dodge A100 pickup, shortened and narrowed with parts box shocks. The engine and 'box came from the Revell Ford Escort rally car, with a scratch built exhaust. For a cleaner look, the door hinge systems were removed and the resulting 16 holes filled. Strip styrene was used to enlarge the doors for a better fit. Model Car Garage provided the photoetch grilles, and parts box clear headlight lenses replace the chrome plated kit items. The front tyres came from the kit, wheels and rear tyres are parts box items. Paint is my usual Tamiya rattle can, this time Metallic Orange. Back in the day, many hot rods in the UK had names, a Slixx decal sheet provided a suitable name for mine. A couple of details are still to be added but I'm pleased with the result so far. I'm no expert, but Google says a small block chevy is 29.42'' long. This works out at 1.1768'' at 1/24, and 1.2258'' at 1/25, less than 5/100 of an inch difference - not a deal breaker for me. I'm happy to build in both scales, but don't venture beyond those to say 1/16 or 1/32.

Revell 1957 Ford Del Rio wagon, built mainly stock but lowered slightly and fitted with parts box hubcaps. Paint is all Tamiya spraycan, using Transparent Red over Pure Red Metallic for the main colour. Paintscheme was inspired by a Buick station wagon spotted on the 'net.
