  1. Ah i saw the join line left of the tv antenna dropping down thru the building So my mistake.
  2. I can use poser but i like Daz 3 better.. You did a great job there.... I have some car objects (3) i am building in Maya i hope i get them done before my licence runs out .(high Polly count)
  3. Outstanding art work..Please thank your buddy for sharing with us. Ask him to tell you how he did it then tell us. or tell him to join this forum and post his work here. i think i see Photo shop layers used with his drawings?
  4. Cool i might get one as i like what i see here . .but i miss my 65 comet (1/1) It was a great A to B and back car. wish i had my 289/302 in a falcon or comet.
  5. Not that i know of.. its As safe as i know. I use it on my hands when my joints hurt it seems to help. i have used WD-40 for many years never had a problem. i am 62 years old and finger joints hurt all the time so i rub WD-40 in to them. Now one thing WD-40 will attract moisture some. but not enough to harm any thing if you use it regularly on steel parts and saws its a wonder also under any mower deck.and sprayed on a snow shovel the wet stuff slips right off Marvel Mystery oil will also clean a file and keep rust away .IF YOU can stand the smell.. Don't expect any thing to do all or every thing I still recommend you use a file card or brush then oil and then put files in a case away from water. if you Oil / WD-40 a file then touch it to your model you will have to clean the model before paint. Or clean the file with a solvent use the file then put it away oiled and properly dispose of the oily rag or rags so they don't start a fire.
  6. I was wondering in my pea brain how one might do a dry transfer on tire lettering if i had just a white sheet i could rub on the raised lettering . no need for it to be printed. I wonder if a typewriter correction tape might work? i need to find some and try it. just thinking out lawed.
  7. I thought i missed Elvira's Movie Macabre. But no i did not. Saturday midnight where? ah eastern moon light savings time.
  8. Some here really know what their talking about yes sir-ee (not so much the GM types) as we know Ford has won hundreds more races than any GM powered car just in F-! and Indy alone never mind all the other forms/ type and classes of racing world wide . but i regress here is a source for speed equipment info.► http://www.smithcollection.com/Collections/Engines/EngineFlatheadThumbs.shtml
  9. Thank you Mate. One man that built the Lindberg cord kit ..Did you do any thing with the head light doors? They stick out and they need to be flush one of many problems with this kit.. i am not happy with any thing to do with this Pyro kit. so no loss cutting it up.
  10. This is a outstanding build i like the top and or with out. love the colors you used inside and out. Well done Sir..
  11. Ok i started the putty and sand putty and sand part of build and i narrowed the seat & floorboard and cut up the dash from both kits i kind of have to lay it out to see for my self how i am doing. so i took some shots too to show here.... man this is a bunch of work.
  12. Out standing model outstanding Photos wonderful paint a great build thank you for sharing it with us.
  13. I have a Brass Wire Brush i use as a file card. . In one to one life, a file needs to be cleaned with a stiff wire brush called a file card. look here for a explanation ► http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=4&ved=0CCwQFjAD&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hartvilletool.com%2Fproduct%2F11291&ei=KRqxTY-ALsLh0QG42oynAg&usg=AFQjCNGl97uLPitHDlE5pQVDfN8EmtXACw or do a search for File card tool. Water is as you now see is not a good idea... so lightly machine oil the files effected and find a small brass brush to clean your micro files .a cat curry brush will work after oiling the files you will have to wash ANY thing your filing on with soapy water any way. but oil the files any way the rust will kill you files fast. as you use the file tap it on some thing softly to clear out debris lightly though don't break the file. this works with open face sanding paper also tapping and brushing out the debris on one to one sand paper ..i hit/slap it flat with a paint stirring stick in till it gets so bad i can't clean it any more. you must find you own way of unclogging sand paper. if your wet sanding that takes care of it on it's own.
  14. I got my copy of a badger at harbor freight for under 20 bucks it looks just like the one above except its a central pneumatic brand copied in china. you must get all the hose and adapters for your set up separate i payed much less than everybody else for the same brush. try one then you can move up after you learn to operate it please do a few searches on Google look for all the kinds you can find i have a model H too but cant find it packed away some where ? i also bought a compressor there for 40 bucks has a 3 gallon tank. get a water trap.. .. look at what hobby lobby has too.. my local store has repair parts for some of what they sell on the shelf unlike harbor freight.
  15. Really nice. I love it .....Now what's next? A mini bike ? All you need i s a scale Briggs & Stratton engine a seat two wheels and handle bars.
  16. Grab the cat and rub a comb on it then hold it over in and around the car watch out for it's claws. Just Kidding DR Cranky. no this is one of the best murc's i have ever seen. and i always liked the one in "Streets of Fire" there was one down the street when i was a kid had the sides dished in like a Vet. Yours is much better by far. Well Done Sir!
  17. Some Engine Shots yes i know its backward but even a SBC will run backward in this FWD COE. i will have fun trying to run exhaust pipes for this i might run some cab stacks if i can make them . funny thing as i plan the cab no one will see the power plant. maybe a clear dog house? i might do the rocker covers in blue anodized like a Morroso cover. a concept car.
  18. "Shiny" (Mal Capt. Firefly)
  19. Thanks Dr cranky i love the Ambroid and will mount mine in a cap soon before i knock it over..Oops .. not going to thicken my pro weld may be a 2nd bottle as the thin stuff works good enough fer me and it don't fog my chrome parts...a dab will do you.
  20. Thanks Dr.. For one who has grabbed textures off the net for years and even bought some..Yes you can buy textures on line.(some real good and some not so) The seamless or continuous textures are the best as one won't see the seams or blocks of repeated patterns . i used them for my CGI art.. yes seats in CGI models need textured upholstery too. your tutorial woke me up i had not thought of printing one out and sticking it on a model. it answered my question on how i might make a head liner look real with seams and all. i can drop a texture in to paint shop and add stitching and what ever i like stains or weathering. one might ad piping or welt to seat covers just by painting it on the texture (in photo shop or what ever graphic editor one has and no hog ring pliers needed.) or one might scan in a piece of cloth (if you have a flatbed scanner) then edit it to fit. Many possibility's to think of . any way i will give it a try see what happens? a fixer in olden times was Hair Net hair spray but probably out lawed by EPA. FDA. or some three letter group.
  21. LDO its a 37/8 ford pee cup .As crappy as the cord engine is in this model kit . The whole top of it is a super charger. .The idea behind changing the engine is clearance so i don't have to make a great big dog house, in the cab. maybe a corvair engine like the 810 cord replica. 8/tenths CORD .This is not a grownup type model yet besides i don't have any of those alliterative engines. And i need to build some thing to hold in my hand before i make a classic style with the fenders i drew. i think i might still go for the closed wheel in back on this test model. Bill Edman; YES! Me too. Here are some more shots.
  22. Cool to death both cars.
  23. A test fitting of the Cord COE with some cut up parts from two kits. A saw is the best thing to happen to the Lindberg kit.>warning flammable . It looks like a bunch of work but i hope to find a happy medium between my drawing and what i can build. i found some brass tube 3/32 X 3/16 (K&S #262) so i can stretch the frame as needed. A front wheel drive COE ha ha! The finely molded Cord engine is mostly there for an idea of what i am dealing with. Ha Ha! . "What A piece of Poop," Slapping forehead," Gee's I could had a V-8!" i think i might have a SBC i can shoe horn in and put the radiator in back,, fan facing the rear.."OR not." Col.Jack SG-1

    Nice;

Nice Screen shots. and yes some screen shots are Art . even if the Resolution is not very high in the games render engine. one has to compose the shot setting one up can be hard . it takes a good eye . to get that just right shot. or dozens of almost shots. i have that Malibu some where in my computer. as a obj file i might do a render of it. but plastic and glue are usein my time now fer a bit longer.
  25. wait 30 days and wax the car just like the one to one cars.
