Well I kinda sorta tried.

I was pretty excited to pick up this kit. Opened it up and almost tried to build it box stock. It didn’t take long for that idea to fade. Out came the razor saw. The photos tell the rest of where this is headed…..

I finished up a couple of trucks last week. Fun builds.

I got a bit of a mock up done. Mine won't be as tame as yours Steve. Mine is a modern fairground queen. I'm loving the white on yours, enough to maybe copy that. I'm thinking solid pearl white with a red interior. The scoop louvers will be gloss black. I'm working on a roll pan for the back. I loved the ZR1 style pans they used in the early 90's.

I got my wheels printing. 22" front, 24" rear. This will be a crawler.

Yup. I got all kinds of tricks.

But then again, a fresh kit is nice to start with. I better decide.

Maybe I'll do like you're doing Steve and ressurect a dead project. That could be a lot of fun.

Here's my version of the new AMT 1960 F100. It's been converted to a 1957 F100. I think this is my favorite year for Ford trucks.

I'm ready to get this party started. After being at the show on the weekend, I figure this build can be a great exercise toward all of the things you and I discussed Steve. Lets' rock this one.

I'll throw my hat in the ring. I have the new version of the 1500 short bed. It'll be a bit before I have any updates though.

I never really liked that kit. You made it into something worthy of all awe. Incredible build!!! I had to look twice to distinguish it from a real car. Great photos of an incredible build!!!

That is gonna be Saweeet! There is a black El Camino rolling around town here that looks suspiciously like that one. I'm gonna dig it. And, for the non-believers of big wheels, don't sweat it. Your builds are always beautiful!

Here it is, all Orange Crush and White Chocolate Pearl. BMF'd. Pegasus Torque Thrusts. I think it's pretty nice. While I'm not a fan of these beasts, I have really enjoyed building the two I have done. Thanks for looking!
