crispy Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Sunday's ad should have a Coupon for 50% off one regular priced item or one clearance priced item(sale items will not get the coupon advantage). I know they don't stock a lot of great model kits, but at half off their might be something worth buying for spare parts. Even re=stocking your paint might help... Chris
Jon Cole Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Hey thanks for the head's up on that! I normally wouldn't waste the $1.50 on my local Sunday news rag, but even when you add that cost to what I spent for the model with the coupon, it was a deal! And, I still have until Friday to use the 40% off coupon!
george 53 Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Guy's , Michael's runs those coupons at least 3 times a month, they work on anything in the store unless they are already on sale.Just look in the same flyer to make sure the models aren't on sale, and your good to go.George53.
Clay Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Michaels also honors the competitors coupons, i.e. AC Moore.
bobss396 Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I was in there Sunday with the President's Day 50% off coupon. Picked up another AMT '34 Ford coupe for $7.50 and some craft chain that was the right size. The 40% off coupon is always good for a can of their Plastikote primers. Bob
roncomatic Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I wonder how come the AMT '34 Fords aren't on clearance. All of the other AMT kits are selling for $9.00 but the '34 Ford is still going for $14.95. --Ron
crispy Posted February 21, 2008 Author Posted February 21, 2008 I noticed that too Ron, but also the 55 Chevy Cameo is still full price, among a few other AMT's at our store anyway. I too was hoping the 34 Ford would drop since It has so much to offer it would be a steal for clearance price plus the discount. Chris
roncomatic Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Just this past Thursday night I was at our nearby Michael's with coupon in hand and nearly picked up one of those '55 Chevy Cameos. However, I couldn't find a clearance sticker so I set it back down. I've really bought way too many kits since this latest "clearance" deal kicked in. Of course, if the '34 Ford were to magically go on clearance I'd probably have to make an exception. --ron
58 Impala Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Over the past couple of weeks between clearance and 40% coupons, I have managed to pick up the AMT Cobra, 55 Cameo, and Revell 71 GTX all for $9 each. Not to bad, it beats $14,$15,or$16 a kit.
crispy Posted February 24, 2008 Author Posted February 24, 2008 No coupon this week, but the model kit sections will be getting re-set sometime in the next two weeks. Chris
