I like the color. Back in the 80's I knew someone with a Boss "9" and he ran BFG Comp TA's (probably 15 inch) and actually drove it on some tracks like Charlotte (aka Lowes Motor Speedway) for fun. Most of the real ones are trailer queens or just get sold over and over at auctions.

Looks really good! If you don't mind, how did you paint your model? I tried to spray some of that folk art paint and it turned out horrible. What did you use to thin it with? Thanks.

You can thin it with water, but it acts almost like a retarder when airbrushing, or denatured alcohol will work well, and I haven't tried it yet but some of the acrylic paint manufacturers make a airbrush reducer, but I'd experiment on some spoons first, sometimes mixing materials from one manufacturer to another can lead to disastrous results.

I tried the denatured alcahol, but it gummed up the paint. Almost stringy like. It was the gunmetal paint. I also had the lime green that I thinned with water and that thinned better, but when I sprayed it, the paint did not cover at all.

Tony, this build appears to be progressing along nicely. The paint color you chose really stands out & looks like it went on very smoothly. For those of us who haven't worked with FolkArt acrylics, can you share any tips that might make things go easier? (Best reducer, paint thickness etc).

The color looks really nice, I've built a few of these over the years. The ride height is a little challenging to say the least to adjust. Keep it coming.

FYI I used the same "finish" floor polish to thin the paint that I used to clear coat paint..had to experiment a bit with the mixture but it worked well..I actually had an accident while painting the body color I bumped the body against a wet brush with black paint on it and didn't notice until I clear coated...bummer...
