The W925 kit has recently been reissued (2017-2018) but as the Watkins tractor, the kits are exactly the same except for the decals. This version of the kit is not correct for the Sonny Pruitt "Sundance" truck from the "Movin On" TV series as it's too old, the AMT kit originates from 1971 and represents a 1968-72 model, and the TV series trucks are 1974 for the first season and 1975 for the second season, both are V.I.T.'s with 60 inch sleepers so you would be better off starting with the Revell Germany W900, with that you still need some modifications to do it right but you will have the correct cab style, sleeper and frame length, To do the truck right for the first season with the Revell Germany kit you need to change to the shorter 63 inch hood from the Revell snap kit or the AMT kit (or maybe cut down the 74 inch kit hood), get a Cummins VT903 engine and torsion bar suspension from Auslowe and decals from Modeltruckin' and you are on your way, the second season trucks had a Cummins NTC engines but was pretty much the same as the trucks from the first season with some minor differences. You could build the truck from the "In Tandem" pilot show from the AMT kit tho', but it still need some modifications to be right. 1972coronet
The tooling for the MPC kit MUST exist --- it was last issued (in custom-only livery) in c.1984 . The AMT 1972 tooling is still around , last issued in c.2005 .

Much like the old 69 Chevelle that AMT kept cranking out, I believe this one has some proportion issues and inaccuracies and would make for a great new tool. Maybe Revell can find a way to offer the 71 & 72 Chevelles in several different versions and do us all a big favor.

Luc Janssens
I enter this one....it was out in the 80s then everything gets a little fuzzy on the whereabouts or condition of the tooling. Even if they don't find it, or fell off a forklift or so, no biggie...cuz the late 90s designed '71 Charger kit has the guts one needs to put under a newly designed shell preferably a '72 with the elastomer bumper option, what do you you all say, yea or nay? Dragonhawk1066
I can see Cooter's Tow Truck selling, possibly better in non-Dukes livery. The Ventura II Sprint and Fast Pack Grand Prix seem to have a bit of a following on these forums, so those would probably do well. The AMT Petty Race Team would probably sell good as well, since those Trucks seem to be a popular item at the moment and one can usually do no wrong when it comes to Richard Petty based kits. My personal faves would be the Red Alert and SSlasher Chevelle's and depending on if the MPC SS454 could be built stock, or any 1971/1972 Chevelle kit for that matter. I'm actually a little surprised any one of the Chevelle's hasn't been re-issued recently yet. Of course, my big hope is Revell continues it's course of re-issuing it's Muscle Car lineup and includes the '70 GTX, '68 and/or '69 GTO, 1970 Chevelle/Malibu SS454, and 1979/80/81 Camaro Z28 3'N 1 kit. Certainly you are not alone in wanting for the MPC 1971 Road Runner to make a return (last produced in c.1990 ; reissued --with 80's wheels-- in 1987) . Ostensibly , AMT was going to modify the tooling to make ( re-make ?) the Petty 1971 Belvedere / Satellite NASCAR iteration ----- that was in c.1995 , and it never appeared .Perhaps the body was irreversibly-modified and "clustered" up in the process ? The 1:1 car (the orange one with painted rear bumper) you exhibited is a 1972 . The Elastomeric option was a 1971-only option on the B-bodies . A 100% newly-tooled 1971-1972 Road Runner would be fantastic ! NOT based-upon the decent-but-long-in-the-tooth Monogram 1971 Satellite / GTX / Fast Food & Furious kit . I've never had the MPC version of the 1971-1972 Chevelle kit , so I can't speak to any inaccuracies . As far as the AMT 1969 ; 1970-1972 Chevelles : I've had the 1969 (convertible , most-recently) , the 1970 ( a commissioned build ) , and the 1972 ( a few of those ) , and I never noted any proportional-inaccuracies , but I'm not intimately-familiar with the lines of the 1:1 ( i.e. , I've never scrutinised them ) . My main complaint about them --and most kits of that era-- is the lack of engine compartment details (chiefly , the 1966 & earlier brake master cylinder , if there's even one present ! ) . When MPC updated the van they changed the shape of the body around the grille to accommodate it, so the older grille / bumper assembly doesn’t fit.. I tried! MPC was actually quite earnest in the annual changes so the current body has the larger tail lights and even the indents on the roof are different.. a bunch of work on the body shell to properly backdate. When Round Two restored the last factory grille prior to that awful ambulance grille that never existed in 1:1, that version is actually the high end grille with stacked rectangular headlights. It would’ve been cool if they did the base model grille with single round headlight.
