Porscheman Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 (edited) This is one of the kits my friend John gave me 3 weeks ago. I painted this Tamiya's Grey Green Military spray. I didn't clear coat this one, instead I polished out the semi-gloss finish to a full shine. The interior in a darker shade of Tamiya's Military Green and tinted the glass with 3 light coats of Tamiya's Clear Blue. BMF all emblems and trim, black washed where needed and polished out one more time with The Treatment Model Wax. Thanks for looking. Al Edited June 8, 2015 by Porscheman
Ramfins59 Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Great job Al. You're knocking them out like crazy man.
High octane Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Very nice build on that Fury Al, and I just love dem Mopars!
StevenGuthmiller Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Very nice Al! The color suits it perfectly. You have to admit, someone in the design department @ Chrysler Corp. must have been hitting the sauce a little in the early 60s. Some of these old mopars are awfully hard to love! Steve
62rebel Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 sharp build of a sharp car. I wish I'd left mine alone instead of hacking it up to make a slot car.
peekay Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 That is really nice!! When I was young I thought such subdued colours were absolute dullsville but now I love them.
Harry P. Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Very nice Al! The color suits it perfectly. Steve Some of them are definitely a little wacky... but this one is just beautiful.
Porscheman Posted June 10, 2015 Author Posted June 10, 2015 Thank you again guys. I just love my replica stocks Al
Sixties Sam Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Great build! The color is just right. I love the early 60's Mopars! Sam
Rob Hall Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Very clean..just the way I like them, stock..the '63 downsized Mopars look a lot better than the '62s, IMO...the '62s had some very strange contours..
charlie8575 Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 I like the color on it. Reminds me a little of the Luminous Jade that was offered around that time. Charlie Larkin
