Plastheniker Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Hi, When I was a very young man in the sixties there were three reason for me not to miss a single episode of the tv-series "The Avengers": (I) Mrs. Peel (II) Mrs. Peel in her catsuit (III) Mrs. Peel in her Lotus Elan I never found a replica of Mrs.Peel but Gunze Sangyo made a nice kit of the Elan S3 maybe 20 years ago. Gunze Sangyo used to offer two versions of each kit, namely a so-called High Tech version with pewter and PE parts and an affordable all-plastic version. My model shows the latter one. As far as I remember it was a kit without major issues, so I would recommend it if there should be any future re-issue.
wayne swayze Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Top drawer classy......both Emma Peel and your model!
jbwelda Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 that turned out great I especially like the grommets on the tonneau cover. btw there were three versions from Gunze: the lo tech one (yours) and two high tech versions: one with an engine and one without. the engine one is the one to get as its a spectacular rendition of the motor, to my eyes anyway jb
djflyer Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 One of the cars I definitely have to get. Wasn't there a re-box of this like some of the other Gunze kits? As for Mrs Peel
thatz4u Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 (edited) Car a-peels to me, Steed would like it too Edited July 3, 2015 by thatz4u
IceMan Collections Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Excellent build. That dash detail looks amazing!
Speedfreak Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Jurgen, one of the nicest builds I've seen lately, so clean. Way to go!
Silver Foxx Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Very nice work , looks great , and so did Mrs Peel .
Matt Bacon Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Lovely job, Jurgen. It looks perfect, especially the interior. I have the kit, too, so I know you don't get a whole lot to work with! Have you got a Heller Bentley to convert to go with it, in memoriam Patrick Macnee? All the best, Matt
Atmobil Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Very nice. I have never seen the Avengers but I can surely understand why you liked it
Mike Kucaba Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Very nice build! I built the low tech one a few years ago, but had some trouble with my paint attacking the plastic. A likeness in resin or vinyl might be available in a "garage"kit. It seems all the icons of TV and movies get done and usually if a good looking female helps
jaymcminn Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Very cool little car.I'm sure you could find some sort of resin figure to convert into Emma Peel.
bbowser Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Very nice model, another great build from your bench.
peekay Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Beautifully done! I loved the show (and Emma Peel) as a teenager and I still have to youtube the intro occasionally - great theme-tune.
Sean W Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Jurgen, hats off to you. Super clean build quality, gorgeous color and paint job. A beautiful little model. Best wishes, Sean.
spencer1984 Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 I built one of these a while back and it fought me several times, so my hat's off to you for doing such outstanding work on it!
