MOPARmaniac Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Hey guys it turns out the charger had absolutely no parts so im doing this mustang Putting some sway bars in now then the front shocks I don't know if you can see it or not but im doing a rust affect here and there on the car
MOPARmaniac Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 I got the inner wheel wells painted, trunk carpeting, and front shocks painted now almost ready for installing just needs some rust those are supposed to be shocks guys sorry, little shaky my dog just died
MOPARmaniac Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 rusted the wheel wells, rusted the shocks and cut the trunk carpet to make it look ripped and old Ok ive just installed the shocks,
wrecker388 Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Dude, I know you're only 13, but you need a better camera. It looks good from what I can see but the pics are way out of focus. You can get decent cameras at a pretty good price. I know how hard money can be to come by at your age (I'm 17) but you will be thankful when you do.
MOPARmaniac Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 just glued chasis in place here is a look around the mustang
MOPARmaniac Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 I put the the torn up carpeting in it now im putting the drums on now
kruleworld Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Looks like a decent beater. the torn trunk carpet is a nice touch. would like to see results.
MOPARmaniac Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 thanks ive been working pretty hard on this car well I painted the radiator wall and then smeared it with a paper towel to make it look old and worn out, also did some engine compartment work last night just put a battery in.
MOPARmaniac Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 Ok, got a little rust going on the radiator wall OK so i painted the radiator itself, the grille on the radiator is flat black and the frame on the radiator is gloss black, once again i smeared it with a paper towel to make it look used and old
MOPARmaniac Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 alright got the radiator to the radiator wall time to put my 289 C.I.D engine in this baby. I actually used a wiring diagram for the spark plug wires on this engine, its my first doing this to but think it turned out ok.
MOPARmaniac Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 alright drilled some holes in the firewall for heater hoses
horsepower Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Sorry for the loss of your beloved pet, it's not apparent to some people that our pets are just as much family to us as the two legged ones, in some cases a lot better. Hope you can remember the fun times, it'll help you get through the loss.
MOPARmaniac Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 ya thats all ive been doing is remembering how great she was
MOPARmaniac Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 Ok engine compartment finished, I think bottom rear piece painted and smeared as usual now to put decals on the rear piece there
MOPARmaniac Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 more pictures of rear piece the second one with flat black paint sprinkled on it to make it look chipped paint
MOPARmaniac Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 ok put the rear bottom piece on the mustang
MOPARmaniac Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 well that rear piece sticks out due to the extra strip of plastic i had to put in to make the trunk, so I am going to sand it a little bit, paint it flat black, then rust it to cover up my horrible job Oky Doky I got the body work done tell me if you can see the difference
MOPARmaniac Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 Alright! got a rusty bumper from the good ol junkyard
MOPARmaniac Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 Well shes almost street legal got the reverse lights in i painted the grille and smeraed it and I think it looks pretty real
MOPARmaniac Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 alright got the usual rust affect going on the grille
MOPARmaniac Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 I hate these decals they came right off when I tried to sprinkle some black paint to make it look chipped, so I decided to do it myself. I know it looks sloppy now but when I put the black paint on it it might look official
MOPARmaniac Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 You can't really see it but the stripes are faded out and there, also decided to do a rust job on it, notice the difference? wanna know the secret to rusting a model car? Well you simply paint the car the same body color and while it's still wet you sprinkle some GROUND CINNAMON on it and let dry, now you will have a rust bucket ready for showing off!
MOPARmaniac Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 WhoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooHoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is 90% street Legal
