PowerPlant Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 I recently got one in an auction along with a bunch of model kits, and kinda liked it, especially since I enjoyed these when I was a kid, so I decided to start it for fun. This is as far as I got in a few hours over the last couple evenings (excuse the phone pic with bad light): In the meantime, I searched for automotive puzzles online, and found some really cool ones, which I might just have to order http://www.puzzlewarehouse.com/Cruisin-Phils-Diner-71514mp.html http://www.seriouspuzzles.com/i18536.asp http://www.seriouspuzzles.com/i18535.asp Has anyone else built jigsaw puzzles featuring cars, bikes, trucks and such?
landman Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Gotta get some of those. Thanks for sharing. we always have one on the go during the winter. may as well be about cars eh?

hgbben Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 The unusual shapes made it a challenge, but it was worth it
cobraman Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 I have two. Still sealed. Doubt I will ever try to work on them but if I ever do I will glue them and hang them in the garage.
Jon Haigwood Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Great idea , putting them together then framing them and putting them on the wall. Never knew there were so many car themed puzzles out there. Thanks for the links and idea
PowerPlant Posted September 23, 2015 Author Posted September 23, 2015 You going to glue it ? I'll probably frame it/put glass over it to press it down, so gluing probably won't even be necessary, but I do intend to keep it together somehow, yes
cobraman Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 My sister used to do a lot of puzzles and she used puzzle glue on the fronts to hold them together and it gave them a nice gloss. To save some coin she started to use cheap white glue and that seemed to work just as well. They stapled them up in the garage.
