Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but here goes. I would really like a few sets of stock wire wheels and tires of the type that comes in AMT's and Revell's Model A Woodie kits. I have searched but can't come up with any other than buying complete kits. Does anyone make such a thing or would it be cheaper to just buy a full kit? Any ideas would be welcome!

About the only way to get stock Model A Ford wheels would be in one of the available model kits.  Wire wheels such as those just do not lend themselves to say, resin-casting, not to mention that the bulk of modelers would rather hotrod a Model A Ford kit.

Post an ad in the Wanted section here, or keep your eyes peeled on eBay or swap meet. Most people, myself included, are more than happy to get rid of them.

This thread should do it for you. I'll bet there's a bunch of board members that have built that kit and hot rodded the heck out of it not using the stock wheels.

Come everybody let's help Gary out.;)

Thanks for the interest. I like to build two models at the same time. I built two of the Revell 29 A Pickup closed tops as stock and hot rod variants. Now I want to do the open top in the same way.

I would, but...well, I build stock, too!

Gary- nice work on that maroon pickup.

Thanks for all the comments. I can see how these would be hard to copy in resin! Alan if you PM me an address, I would be happy to send a money order for whatever the expense would be.
