Mooneyzs Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Dave... So happy that the parts arrived and that you are happy with them. You are more than welcome for me to draw them up and have printed. You have helped me out so much in the background of the Funny Car with many questions that I have asked and as well as information for a future Dragster build. It's the least I can do to try and return the favor. Which I can't thank you enough for taking the time and helping out with information. Looking forward to seeing the linkages on the Carbs but after your stuff to the '39 is done . John and Brad.... Thanks Brother!
Davewilly Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Those are some sweet parts! an yeah Chris is a pretty cool dude!
gasser59 Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 BTW - Dave - I like the new avatar. Is that a recent picture?
comp1839 Posted June 10, 2017 Author Posted June 10, 2017 glad you like the pic, brad. the pic is like 3 weeks old. we're getting closer every week to getting 'er done.
comp1839 Posted June 11, 2017 Author Posted June 11, 2017 thank you dan. i'm hoping for a window of opportunity to open here. did a little test fitting with chris's parts and they are looking "spot on".
jeffdeoranut Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 just looked thru all posts of this build...incredible!! ive modelled for 46 years and honestly thought I was a slightly above average builder...until I saw this. I now realize that I should only be allowed to play with plastic toy cars.
Codi Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 Calling all cars, calling all cars, be on the look out for a nasty 37' Chevy that isn't street legal (yet) that has been terrorizing the neighborhood. Your job is to arrest him and cuff him to his workbench and leave him there until he does something on this dragster build. He gets 3 hots and a cot a day plus 2 Sailor Jerry cocktails until his "community service" is fulfilled. CHEERS, Tim
