Chuck Most Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Nothing much to say here... it's a two-Saturday-afternoon buildup of the Revell Ford "Ranger" Pickup (even though the truck's clearly badged as a custom...), box stock other than the addition of a MAD distributor and an upper radiator hose made from electrical wire. Paint is Testors Star Spangled Blue. Not my best effort, but I know exactly how I'll tackle the improvements and enhancements on the next one I build. For one thing... looks like I forgot to paint the tailgate chains... I'll take care of that later.
Superpeterbilt Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Nice job Chuck. I like the blue. I'm thinking of making a billet grill for mine. Was there any issues with fitment?
Chuck Most Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 Thanks guys. Nice job Chuck. I like the blue. I'm thinking of making a billet grill for mine. Was there any issues with fitment?A few here and there. I cut off the oil pan pin so the engine would sit down closer to the crossmember, otherwise the fan and belt would interfere with the fit of the radiator shroud. The pins on the rear leaf springs don't line up very well with the holes on the chassis. Overall though, nothing too terrible.
