I love it. I had read about it somewhere, maybe a couple of years ago. It definitely has the mustang vibe to it. But if you see it from different angles its totally different  ( you don't really pick up that mustang look ). At least that is what I thought. I also remember  ( some what )  that the price for it was around  one hundred and twenty five thousand dollars at the time but I am going by memory That is definitely rusty. If only I could remember what I did with that article , see what I mean.    Jeff

If I was in the financial position to actually consider buying a car in this price range, all you'd have to do is show me this photo and I'd whip out my checkbook!

I could suffer through having to drive that every day...but as with most things, I'd have to change a few bits here and there.

...The stuck-on rear bumper, for one thing...and I'd put the "Equus" over the little horse and ditch the "Bass". Makes me think of a fish. And not a baddass fish like a Barracuda, either.

Probably get rid of the upchuck on the lower grille surround in front too. Very often, less is more.

Hmmmm...probably a lot cheaper to just build a slightly customized old Mustang...B)

I read about this a couple years ago...pics all look Photoshopped...I wonder if the company actually has built anything or if it's just vaporware...

The car has got a slight Japanesse look, especially in the front, to me. It looks okay. But, I like the looks of the factory Mustang much better. Especially at the price they're asking for it.

Looking at their pages, it looks as though this is a new build, rather than Equus doing a Singer on an existing Mustang...

The manufacturing process doesn't look cheap -- does anyone know if they have actually built and sold one?

From wikipedia:

The EQUUS BASS770 prototypes were unveiled in 2014 Detroit North American International Auto Show.

The vehicle will be on sale as a 2016 model year vehicle.

The latest news reveals that first sales of the EQUUS will debut at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show in November with a price of 500,000 USD. The Equus Bass 770 is FULLY HAND-BUILT IN THE USA, and a very exclusive contender in the luxury market...

I saw the exhibit at the 2014 Detroit show and have the brochures in my stash.Supposedly the metal is all new and not taken from any Mustang parts(though the influence is undeniable).

But $500K for what comes off looking like a customized '67-'68 Mustang with 'Cuda influences(and,as I recall,GM  LS series engine power)? I don't think so.

I'm not saying that the car is ugly, it's not, but IMO both design and name makes me think of some videogame car from i.e. GTA that is supposed to be a Mustang but has to look different and carry another name due to lack of licensing from Ford....

Speaking of licensing from Ford... this car is obviously a "Mustang," styling-wise. It's painfully obvious. Even the name and the logo is a variation on Mustang ("Equus" is Latin for "horse").

I wonder what sort of deal was made with Ford to allow them to manufacture and sell this car?
