I know it's been a while since I posted on here. Life has gotten in the way kinda. But anyways I have a few projects going on all at once here. I know the old tread the photos stop working in it so I'm making this new thread. I have an 18 year old son that loves the Dukes of Hazzard series 1979-1985 an loves the General Lee. Now my son is a special needs person an is a grandmas boy. He can't build model cars all that well. So back in 2012 me an the mrs got talking to grandma an we wanted to build him something very special an something that is close to what he likes. Well he loved the Dukes dvd sets an seeing that orange car fly through the air an land. I was told by the mrs an grandma as well he loved the car jumps an how big they was BUT wondered what an aftermath car looked like once it smack the ground. So the wife an grandma asked me if I could maybe build him a very correct an detailed model of one. After setting down with the two ladies an going over detail info. My wife an I set out in 2012 to the local hobby shop to see what we could find in a kit wise. My wife had found back then a model that was already built by someone else an then given to the hobby shop as a trade in. It was perfect for what or how I wanted to start the build for my son. I didn't want a new kit to start with. They model car we got had the General Lee decals already on it. But it had the incorrect rear window. No big deal. I have alot of redoing to do on the build to get it to that model I want him to have. I just needed something to start with was all. So I soak the mpc 1969 Charger General Lee in warm water to get the decals off. Marked some lines for cutting at. I want to make the impacts an damage realistic as much as I can. I will be using alum foil, alum pan, pop cans, brass & soldier an doing alot of rebuilding an scratch building along the way. This model car of a Stunt General Lee I want it to be correct as I can get it to a real one for him to have. I am going to select the photos to post up here up to where I'm at on the build. Good comments on the project are always welcome.

Now as far as for the front end goes, I want that area to be correct as well, an so I would need to rebuild an correct it as well. I started with using a damage broken up revell sheel an using the good nose piece off it for this part to make the correct panels that will be needed later on down the road
