maltsr Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I had some leftover paint from my recent Bantam Fuel Altered build so I decided to create a support vehicle based on the Jimmy Flintstone phantom body. The engine/transmission is a 289 from the parts box, the driveshaft is aluminium tubing and the exhaust from the mufflers to the rear is styrene rod. The rest of the parts will be from the Revell Thunderbolt kit, with the teardrop scoop removed from the bonnet (hood) and Pegasus Astro Supremes/tyres. This is how it looks so far:
Againmikewins Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Looks great so far! What size is the aluminum tubing for the driveshaft? It looks like a nice touch.
disabled modeler Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Nice project and work..! I love wagons of the 60s..!

mod3l Lover Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Paul, I'm loving this already! My eyeballs are fixed in your direction for sure. Thanks for posting. Happy building, David S.
Dominik Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 nice color! like the wagon and the wheels match perfect
DumpyDan Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Looks good, and the wheels are perfect. Nicely done
maltsr Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 Thanks for the feedback guys. Slow progress, but the chassis is completed and I've made a start on the BMF. I'll be using a black decal to fill in the side trim.
Modlbldr Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Nice looking build. Great wheels for it too. I didn't know Flintstone had this body. Gotta get one.Later-
TFchronos Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Excellent work, it's nice seeing so many wagons being built.
