95neon Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Hi everybody sorry I haven't been on here in forever school has been crazy anyway here's my 1970 Challenger T/A. Paint is model master sublime green that I sprayed I'm my grandmas backyard, I'm happy with the results. The "340 six pak" decals on the side are from the Revell 1/25 kit, the ones in this kit were way too small. Paint on the hood is goofy krypton that went crazy on me so I still need to repaint the hood, and do the side marker lights. Overall this kit (it's the Monogram kit released around 1986) is excellent and is one of my all time favorites. I'm currently doing another one in Panther pink and hope to soon tackle a few monogram 'cudas. Feel free to ask questions and hope you like it!
95neon Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 Oh sorry the photos are so bad I just snapped a few with my iPad...
MeatMan Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Looks very clean. Nice build. I'm watching Graveyard Carz at this moment and that's the first reference to Sublime Green I'd ever heard. He calls it Sub-lime green.
Kit Basher Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 That looks good! Is that R/T in the background yours too? I did the Revell kit as an R/T in Sublime. I have that Monogram kit, I'll have give it a try. Nice work.
95neon Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 Thanks for the compliments!MeatMan, I'm not even sure if sublime green is correct for a mopar (it might have been called limelight?) but it sure is a neat colorKit Basher, yes I'm in the process of building the Revell slab-sided R/T kit, that is mine in the background. Also please ignore the wall paper, of course I picked the worst spot for photos... Anyway yes build the Monogram kit, it is not as easy to build As the Revell kit but is a fun build and yields excellent results. Slusher, Thanks!
tbill Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 love the high impact colors from mopar. good looking build, well done.
Mustang Madness Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Nice! are you going to paint the side blinker lights?

hemihauler11 Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Great build I'm currently building a monagram superbird in same color and yes sublime is a factory Chrysler color and so is limelight both came out in 1970 one is Dodge one is Plymouth but is same color
95neon Posted December 11, 2015 Author Posted December 11, 2015 Thanks for all the compliments everybody hemihauler, thanks for clearing that up about the paint, also can't wait to see your 'bird!
95neon Posted December 19, 2015 Author Posted December 19, 2015 Considering its 30 degrees outside, I can't get any outdoor pics but I'll post a couple now that I've done the side marker lights with it in the pics are my MPC dart and Monogram mustang not the best pics but they'll do for now
