gatorincebu
    Darren,            I like what you are using for the seats. I offer this suggestion. Take some small hollow tubing and cut some spacers to place between the seat pieces !      Be Well     Gator

Darren B
Finally got the xacto thru the roof, at first I was second guessing the shape but after seeing it cut out like it. Since I have decided to not open the doors on this one wanted to have an opening to have a better look to the interior...

Darren B
I like this design better, its laser cut paper from an old greeting card, delicate but will accept paint and on top of that its light weight as well...
Darren B
tried spacer beads between the seat slats, first they were the smallest glass beads that I have, but like the look of the wood ones that I found.

Darren B
thinking of adding a surf board to the roof, maybe...thinking about adding lake pipes, maybe...do not like the stock custom wheels, seemed to large so taking the ones from the 62 pontiac above or the 50 olds kit below.. Darren B
Decided on the tires too sand them down to look worn more in the front than the rear, also had an idea to maybe use for hubcaps these pieces, a mockup of the front bumper with bones, a possible lay out of the back of the cab, and how the seats would look over them. Darren B
Been trying to figure out how to model bamboo, i can buy it on line for dioramas but wanted to give scracthbuilding a try, got a tubing cutter and ground the sharp edge off of the wheel, bought some bamboo skewers and gave it a try, the tubing cutter makes the knuckle mark then i take a small sanding stick to thin the stalk down between the cuts, I have a long way to go to sand it smoother, may chuck it up in my dremel to try sanding at high speeds if it does not break the stick... Darren B
thinking of using the bamboo to cover the doors of the cab, and line the bed with it....
Darren B
You could use this technique on plastic rod as well for other scratch built items....
