Old Coyote Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 .....box stock build of Revell's '69 Nova kit ............... Cobracolors lacquers, and Slixx decals
drsnapper55 Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Nice fade on that paint and great looking build
GaryR Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Another nice drag car in an overlooked class, modified production.I LIKE the realism here, no giant blowers, too huge slicks etc. A VERY NICE representation of MP!
W-409 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I've wanted to build an old Modified Production car for a long time, but I never got into it as I have too many unfinished projects already... You did a fantastic job on this one though. Very nice paint and decal work, I think this has the correct look and feel to be a Vintage Drag Car. Thanks for posting, excellent work!
Snake45 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Nice! You've captured the feel and spirit of the late '60s-early '70s quite well! Model on!
Mister Twister Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Excellent work John! I really miss the modified class with all its high winding engines. My favorite (which I saw in person many times) was the 6 cylinder "Pocket Rocket" Chevy II driven by Cotton Perry....Those were the days.

I agree Darryl, my favorites were a couple of cars built by my "hometown favorite" Modified Production builder, Carroll Caudle .... the hardtop was a C/MP and the 4-door was a D/MP Edited December 27, 2015 by Old Coyote
