Kmb0319 Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 MY FIRST POST since joining! Anyway, hello everyone. I purchased two AMT Camaros thus summer. The 70 Camaro just looked like a really good kit, and the second generation is a little forgotten, so I was excited to build this one. The 68 was purchased as a parts car, mainly to get the full set of both sizes of the Goodyear Polyglas GTs that come inside this kit, but went ahead and built it anyway. It's not a terrible model, but it's probably the worst interior I've ever seen... huge lack of detail... and not much in the engine or chassis. It's interesting, because the 70 has a lot of detail molded in and is a great model... the 68 is OK on the shelf from a distance. So, I wired the engine, made some extra hoses and really tried to detail everything. I ended up using Testors Nassau blue, black/gray deluxe interior. I'm working on the Revell 67 Camaro now, and detailing that one up since it's a better kit... so I dediced the 68 should be something different. Instead of thinking through a perfect color combo, I went with something totally 60s.. a gold on gold car. On to the pics:
GTJUNIOR Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Nice builds. I have a soft spot for the 60's Camaro's myself.
