New #11 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 (edited) Rare kit, not for the faint of heart. Paint is Tamiya White Primer covered with clear. A crazy idea that worked! Edited January 3, 2016 by New #11
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Pretty bizarre. I've seen this kit before...you've done a nice job with it.Do you mind if I ask what you paid, and where you found it?
Dave Van Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 You and Terry Jessie are the only two brave enough to build this thing. I have a mint kit....and planned to build....but with what it is going for......hard to do now!! VERY nice work!
cobraman Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 That is the first built one I have ever seen. You did good !
New #11 Posted January 3, 2016 Author Posted January 3, 2016 Pretty bizarre. I've seen this kit before...you've done a nice job with it.Do you mind if I ask what you paid, and where you found it?I bought it at the Toledo show, probably 10 years ago. I had never heard of it, I just looked in the box at that plating and had to have it. I paid $65.
Dragline Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Grail kit for me. Had two of them but was offered so much I couldn't pass. Now they go for 3 times what I got for them. Beautiful build BTW.
DumpyDan Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 That's one cool looking kit, looks awesome nice work
IceMan Collections Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I just learned of this kit this last week and it's on my wish list. You've done a great job with yours. If i ever get it and build it to look half as good as yours, I might be happy.
misterNNL Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Thanks for posting this.I have never actually seen one built.Great photos as well showing all the details very nicely.
Chromecop Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Very nice work! I have this kit as well and hope to build it in the future!
gtx6970 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Great looking build.I never knew a kit of this car existed So i have to ask.....how much is one if i go looking for one

Erik Smith Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Very cool. Thanks for building it! I haven't seen a completed one before.
Dave Van Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 If that kit sells for $350......it wil be hard to keep mine!!!
aurfalien Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 W0W, beautiful job!!!I couldn't go back too far and only found 1 previous listing, but it sold for $300.My opinion is if you want it, buy it. Cool things getting scarce by the minute.
Old Nasty Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 (edited) Nicely done. Looks like a circus wagon. Edited January 22, 2016 by Old Nasty
Ridgeback Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Great looking model. Now you need to build the Nautilus "The blade of the ocean" Although in 1/24 it would probably be about 15 ft long! ?
Dann Tier Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Outstanding job! first time I've ever seen one built as well. Actually I'd forgotten that there was a kit of this car. -thanx for posting it!
spencer1984 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Excellent work on this!I have a mint kit....and planned to build....but with what it is going for......hard to do now!!Same here...I'm even thinking about how cool it could be to open the hood and scratchbuild some sort of steampunk engine. But if I ever needed to liquidate, it would be a good one to still have MIB.
