Danno Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Hot news! Greenlight is soon to release a 1/24 scale 1974 Dodge Monaco 4dr sedan in your choice of Chicago PD cruiser or Bluesmobile livery!!!! Yeah, it's die cast, but hey! IT'S COMING!!!!!!!Not pricey, either.
Robberbaron Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 'Bout time somebody did a Monaco in 1/24 (or 1/25)! Most of the Green light stuff I've seen seems to be done pretty well, as far as proportions, so I'm cautiously optimistic that these will be worth getting.
tomsheehy Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Diecast or not, its a welcome addition. I'm hoping its an accurate rendition...my first one will be a gaudy yellow and blue version...
louie Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Does anyone know exactly when this will be available? Thank you. Jeff
Junkman Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 (edited) And if that wasn't good enough news, there will also be a 1975 Dodge Monaco sedan! The Bluesmobile is number GL84011 and the '75 Chicago police car is number GL84012.Release is scheduled for August. Edited February 5, 2016 by Junkman
Rob Hall Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Way cool...I've got Bluesmobiles in 1/64th, 1/43rd, 1/32nd, and 1/18th, about time we get them in 1/24th..
ss2000 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 My first car was a '74 Monaco 2 door hardtop. Maybe I can finally build a model of it.

426-Hemi Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 -My first Demolition Derby car was a '74 Dodge Monoco! LOL *Runs from flyin' bricks*
lizardlust Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Hoping that these are fairly accurate - the pent-up demand for this subject in 1/24th-1/25th scale should be huge!!!
57peppershaker Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Ive just seen these are now on ebay. Has anybody bought 1 yet & can post detailed pics ? From the ebay pics, it doesn't look dirty enough, the wheels have hub caps & theres maybe no rear window ?
GLMFAA1 Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I have a friend who got both the CPD and the BB's cars, with GREEN tires. What goes?here is a reference sale on ebay, I have no interest in this sale which I find overpriced http://www.ebay.com/itm/Greenlight-Green-Machine-1974-Dodge-Monaco-BluesMobile-Blues-Brothers-1-24-/361773369305?hash=item543b5f87d9:g:HKYAAOSw8gVYA~zV greg
57peppershaker Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I guess they are limited editions but I wouldnt want 1 either.I dont buy to collect anymore (had over 1000 57 Chevys !) just to build / mod and display. Regular black wheels are god for me.
Rob Hall Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 They are out now...ordered them from Diecast Model Warehouse, only $19.99 each. Been looking forward to these for a loooong time...I have several in other scales, but long wanted a 1/24/5th one. Diecast Models Wholesale--Greenlight Monacos

What goes?here is a reference sale on ebay, I have no interest in this sale which I find overpriced Those are the usual Greenlight Green Machines limited 'chase' items...the regular ones have normal tires. 'Green Machines' are the GL equivalent of Hot Wheels 'Treasure Hunts' or Johnny Lightning's White Lightnings... Edited October 20, 2016 by Rob Hall
lizardlust Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 I bit the bullet and ordered one of each tonight - time(and the USPS) will tell.......
Dave Van Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Thanks for the pics!!!! Not perfect but a good start!!! thx
57peppershaker Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 "Wow this Mall has everything" LOL I'll look tomorrow but dont think the UK stores will carry them
57peppershaker Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 (edited) I was very pleased when my Blues Mobile arrived this morning (6 days from US to UK) Heres a few pics Edited October 25, 2016 by 57peppershaker
57peppershaker Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 (edited) Sorry can only load 2 pics ?Its not a bad diecast. But only opening front doors, no hood or trunk to open. No rear window after a meet with The Good Ol Boys ! The wheels need to be changed but as they are both metal axles should be easy. The licence plates are way too small too.The interior is moulded plastic without paint n looks too yellow but does have a speedo sticker. Also a cop radio so guess same as the CPD version. Should be easy to paint n detal.More than happy we finally have a 74 Monaco though Edited October 25, 2016 by 57peppershaker
57peppershaker Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 And there is a simple push bar included that you have to push in place. Now to go hunt for suitable steels n tyres........
