leafsprings Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 (edited) We have the narrow nose 351 Pete conversion, but do we have the narrow nose W 900 Kenworth conversion? I think AMT missed the boat with all there wide nose trucks. Is the late 60's narrow nose KW ( as shown in photo) available? Edited February 12, 2016 by leafsprings
Petetrucker07 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 There is a needle nose KW in small scale, like the honest John missile kit or the Begins moving kit. It's around 1/50 or something like that. But yes, I agree, we need a 1/25 version to go with the 351.
Jim B Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Illini Replicas makes a 1960 Kenworth 900 Series (similar to the one shown above). They also make a 1955 & a 1959 500/800 Series.http://apps.aitruckmodels.com/Gallery/album.cfm?a=8735
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 If you can find one, Bobby Griffen, "Griffen Designs" made one several years ago. It was just like the truck that you have pictured. I had one of these and the quality was pretty good, but I sold it before I had a chance to use it.
Superpeterbilt Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 I forget where I got this, but it was available at one time. I guess it was griffen. Im sure I bought it from Spaulding.
leafsprings Posted February 13, 2016 Author Posted February 13, 2016 Wow, that's it! Thanks for the replies everyone. This front end fits the newer "Watkins or Movin On" style cab. Hopefully it is still available from them.
leafsprings Posted September 1, 2022 Author Posted September 1, 2022 It's been a few years, has anyone stepped up to the plate and offer them again? Found a photo, but AFAIK, not available.

(kamodelminis.com) Thanks for the reply. The older cabs generally came with the narrow grills and the newer cabs generally came with the wide grills. The anomalies are the old cab with the wide front end and the newer cab with the narrow front end. I'm in the later dilemma. Will put in a want ad. Edited September 13, 2022 by leafsprings
