DRIPTROIT 71 Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 This is a truck that I built close to 20 years ago. It is at my brother's house, so while I was there today, I snapped a couple of pictures. Keep in mind this was my first attempt at scratch building anything. The rack for the flag truck is a little too steep, but all in all I was pretty satisfied with it.
Petetrucker07 Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Nice job Brian. I've been wanting to build one of these. Looks very much like a mobile home relocation vehicle.
towman1271 Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 that's a cool idea.. That turned out amazing!
gatorincebu Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Brian, That is a cool looking build. I think you did a good job on it. Be Well Gator
vincen47 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 That is really neat. Very clever idea for a project. I may have to build one myself someday.
tbill Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 that's pretty sweet! i saw one the other day and thought, i am suprised no one has built one, and boom, there it is, lol.
Tesla Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 A common site on the road yet this is the first one I've seen as a model. Excellent build!
disabled modeler Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Very cool Brian...! I have been wanting to do that myself and a mobile home for one.
landman Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Neat At one time I was going to build a yard tender. It would be easy today with the crane cab available.

Old Buckaroo Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Brian - Very nice Mobile Home toter. Did you make it to where the mirrors extend out also ? Great scratch building and the Pilot car/truck really adds to it.

DRIPTROIT 71 Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 Thanks for all the comments guys!!! Brian - Very nice Mobile Home toter. Did you make it to where the mirrors extend out also ? Great scratch building and the Pilot car/truck really adds to it. Thanks Sean! The mirror brackets are made from brass tube and they are telescoped together, but after almost 20 years I don't think that they will slide now.
Rigzndiesel Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 That's a nicely built truck. I like the color and the scratch-built toter body you put on it. Really cool!
SpreadAxle Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Very believable. I like the way you folded the winterfront. Nice work.
extmcdriver Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Really good job, more inspiration for me to get back to the workbench!!!
