hello,

this is my attempt at my all time favorite car. purchased a modelhaus 63 Bonneville convertible kit a couple of years ago.

combined it with the amt 62 catalina kit and this is what I came up with. I haven't worked on it for about a year as I mostly build trucks

but I am starting to get the itch to work on it again after seeing the tempest wagon drag cars posted on here.

the plan is to shave off the Bonneville trim to create the catalina.

thanks for looking.

hi mark !

I cut the roof off the 62 catalina kit. i have a 63 chevy kit and the roof looks more accurate to me but i plan on building a super stock out of the chevy

and didn't want to cut it up. i would say the 63 or 64 chevy would be a good choice.

This is looking interesting! Old Stock and Super Stock Racers are my favorites so I will keep a very close eye on this build. Nice work with the chassis and interior so far. Stance and wheel and tire combo looks just right as well. Keep it coming!

Gino...Hi...  Thanks for the information I thought it might work well...I love the big old Pontiac cars.  We owned many over the years and want to build family owned replicas of as many of them as I can find/build rather there models or promos.  I have done a few so far..70 GTO,70 Impala HT,69 Plymouth wagon.

Nice work! I like it!  I am a big Pontiac 421 SD fan, Catalina's and Tempest/Lemans.  I also have a 1963 Swiss Cheese Catalina, mine is from MCW.  Mine will replicate Arlen Vanke's Anderson Pontiac Tin Indian car.  When painting you Swiss Cheese car, to be authentic, the original exterior color was a Cadillac color called Frost Silver.  I may do a couple of additional Swiss Chees cars, Royal and Van Winkle.

I am the one assembling a series of 421 SD LeMans coupes and Tempest Wagons.  I will be doing all 12 cars.  Additional 1963 Tempest 421 SD coupes I am doing is both prototypes (the Yorktown Blue M/T car and the Silvermist Ray Nichels car) and Arlen Vanke's Anderson Pontiac car.  The Vanke car was not a factory built car but did have factory backing.

Please keep us updated!
