om617 Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I tried search to find paint chip charts over what Dupli Color offers but i had no good luck. Does anyone know where to search? Thanks.Tommy
o-man Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 They changed the website and removed the colors. freaking brilliant. I guess they assume people know what color their car is.
Mark Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 If you are trying to decode colors not currently in the line (bought at closeout), you'll probably have to track down one of the books that the auto parts stores use. You'd need an obsolete book that includes the colors in question. The closeout stores usually put the price sticker over the color code too. I wouldn't be surprised if Dupli-Color wanted that done as part of the deal. In the past, when the spray cans didn't have labels (information was printed directly on the can), they would either obliterate the name of the color on the lid, or (more often) obliterate the brand name on the can.
tomsheehy Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Jegs has a pretty good list on their website...its broken down by manufacturers colors...GM, Ford, etc. Scroll down the page to see all, and there's actually 4 pages... http://www.jegs.com/p/Duplicolor/Duplicolor-Perfect-Match-Touch-Up-Paint/1528541/10002/-1?itemPerPage=60&pno=1
om617 Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 Thanks Tom. It gives you a little idea from the cap. But i wonder how far back you can go and get color on a can. As from the 60s and 70s. Been looking thru some colors, they often changed the name of the same color by manufacturer and year,so it`s a jungle. Was hoping to find this. That is if Dupli Color offers it. Because then i can get it here in Norway.
