I read about this car quite a while ago. Apparently the manufacturer was having trouble coming up with enough money to start production. I wonder if they've solved their money problem?

Yeah, I guess it does remain to be seen what becomes of this... They did attract some money from the Middle East, apparently, and built up to 8 cars by now (allegedly even sold a few), but I don't think the owner has real aspirations for major production, he sees himself more as an innovator not necessarily a car manufacturer over a long run... From what I heard, the business plan consists of building something like 20 cars in total, and then I suppose the technology will most likely be sold... Some sources estimate its worth at 70 million euros as is right now...

Either way, as impressive as it is, at a price tag of over 1 million dollars per car, this will hardly be a commercial success :P

I am just proud that the fastest electric roadgoing vehicle ever made, that also gives most internal combustion powered cars a run for their money in terms of acceleration and top speed, comes from my home country, that's all :)
In reality, it would be nice to see someone utilize this technology in more affordable, "normal" cars, and it is in fact just a matter of time before that happens... This is the future! ;)

Beautiful machine. Interesting they produce a lot of their own bespoke components too. Also interesting how it's smaller companies who are doing much of the leading-edge work, rather than the fat, complacent, over middle-managed, slow-to-adapt giants.

I would like to know what specifically sets the tech in this car apart from what's also currently available. Looks like another few hours of net research is in my near future. :D
