V8 Trucker Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Hi everyone, the model of MPC and because it is so old it has few parts, model in the 70s .... Who asked how it went with the models after Musclecar era continue here so would be a candidate. I think the body can be still seen. Greeting Jan
DumpyDan Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I remember building a kit like this back in the 70's, didn't it come with skies and poles. Nice looking build, don't see them anymore.
disabled modeler Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Jan...NICE build..! I liked this kit back in the 70s still have most of mine need to restore it sometime....think it did have a ski outfit option too...?
Foxer Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 (edited) That looks very nicely done ... and glad to see you're not afraid to take it out on the road in the jungle! Edited March 17, 2016 by Foxer
Harry P. Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Agreed that it's very nicely done. But mirrors would have made it a whole lot more believable.
Harry P. Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 That looks very nicely done ... and glad to see you're not afraid to take it out on the road in the jungle! Yeah, those are some dinosaur-sized ferns!
drodg Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Nice. I have a 1975 Roadrunner 1:1 it is red. Thanks for the pictures
unclescott58 Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Very nice. I like '75 Roadrunners. Had the kit back in the 70's. Spent a little time hunting for a kit a few years back. Figured it would be a fairly easy find. No body likes Roadrunners after 1974. Right? Boy was I wrong about that. I did finally find a promo at a decent price. So I'm happy now.
Kodiak Island Modeler Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 I worked in a Chrysler Plymouth dealer when these were new. I loved these cars and wish that re could see a reissue of this model. They were very enjoyable to build, and I think mostly that's due to the fact that there weren't a ton of parts. You did a beautiful job on your build.
V8 Trucker Posted March 19, 2016 Author Posted March 19, 2016 hi, thank you for your great interest and the many positive Feedback. the kit it was with me, seems to be rare.
Mike 1017 Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Nice build. I did not even know there was 1975 Roadrunner. Time to Google
Hubert Rollins Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Definitely a break from the typical build. Nice model.
Harry P. Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Nice build. I did not even know there was 1975 Roadrunner. They were nothing but Furys with Road Runner badging. It was a one year only deal... after that, Road Runners were re-badged Volares until the bitter end (1980?).
Bob Ellis Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Jan , what state plates are on the back of your Road Runner?
drodg Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 I thought I would post a picture of my survivor with 38K on it. It is a 360 and a great car. I love your build and the fact you built it in red!
Agent G Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Beautiful build! Brings back fond memories. My real '75 RR was brown! Had all the black graphics , a tan interior and a 360 under the hood.Loved that car.G
