disabled modeler Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Chris... Nice review Ill have to pick up one soon...thanks!
Againmikewins Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 I got this kit in the mail last week. I'm very excited to build it stock. I hope it doesn't give me a problem like the MPC '67 GTO.
dartman Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 Great old kit that should build up good with minimal clean up.Great video also.
Bob Ellis Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 I got this kit in the mail last week. I'm very excited to build it stock. I hope it doesn't give me a problem like the MPC '67 GTO. I don't believe this kit will give you problems. It was never converted to a funny car or have the body chassis posts removed like other kits MPC tried to save money on a new tool. I see it is a straight reissue of the original.
stavanzer Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 I started mine when the Model King kit with the boat came out. The engine is fiddly and hard to get square, because those old MPC molds even when new, when not very square. That said the rest of the work I did on it before I lost interest fit nicely. I'd say it should go together decently, if not Tamiya.
gtx6970 Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 nice review, thanks. I have a 'slight' interest in this kit . I will most likely grab one at some point ,,,,,But I think I'll wait and pick one up with a discount coupon at Hobby Lobby or something.
AC Norton Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 nice review, thanks. I have a 'slight' interest in this kit . I agree with Bill, and will wait 6 months or so, and grab one cheap at a later date. I had no interest at all in this kit, and even remember thinking the same in 1970, however I just got an MPC 70 GTO, that I intend to build as a vintage super stocker using GOOCHE 70 MPC GTO decals......this new Pontiac built as the sportster pickup would make a terrific tow vehicle for that GTO all with matching colors and such...hmmmmm......lol........great review by the way, you just cost me another 35.00 bucks...lol.....the Ace...........
hpiguy Posted May 3, 2016 Author Posted May 3, 2016 As always, I love your reviews Chris. Thanks Scott!
