Hot wheels VW Caddy

Was just going to the grocery store to get some mayonnaise but appearantly I ended up with a HW VW Caddy.

Nice car, gorgeous paint, but some details are disturbing, the striping is one of them.

Some windshield washer fluid on a Q-tip and suddenly it looks better.

It was the name used in europe for the Rabbit Pickup.

The box says "VW Caddy" so probably it is modelled after an euro version.

VW had a sense of humor.

Think about it...everywhere but the US it was a Golf Caddy.

Pretty cool resin transkit from C1 Models available for the Revell Rabbit/Golf. Had a blast building it.

One thing I didn't like was the sunroof.

The strange bracing cut out and the canvas roof itself painted black. Much better!

Detailed the skateboard on the bed.

Silver on the tailpipes

Oil cooler hoses painted black

And this is how it turned out

Small modifications that made the result so much better in the end.
