curt raitz Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) Found this kit at Oakie Al's Model Car show and swap meet a few months ago in Merced, CA. It was beat up fairly bad and a total glue bomb! After close examination, I realized it would build up into a nice Rat Rod. One of the themes for the 2016 NNL West was "Rat Rods". So I chopped the top, "Z-ed" the chassis and channeled the cab. The engine is from the kit, added plug wires and a couple of "Funny Car" headers. Replicas & Miniatures provided the fuel tank. Engine block and goodies are from the "Parts Box". Paint is Rustoleum Apple Green, covered with Testers Dullcoat and lots of Rustall. Fender flaps are from Model Car Garage. Decals are from my buddy Steve Allemand. Dang these pictures are "suckie...", will redo them and repost. thanx Edited April 13, 2016 by curt raitz

espo Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Love your build. I never realized that AMT issued this with the duel rear tires like the box art. Always knew it as the 3 in 1 with the stake bed option.
