Rider Posted June 4, 2016 Author Posted June 4, 2016 You Sir, have talent I'll never possess. I admire guys like you that can do things like this. Sigh.John, thanks a ton for the props and looking in on the progress.Review what I have actually done. It is nothing more then masking and imagination, anyone can do it, even with rattle cans. I am by no means a pro, or even an expert.I just happen to think outside the box, and I don't give a rats behind if I make mistakes, we all learn form our mistakes. As long as you are learning you are progressing. Sounds like you'd really like to do some of this, just try it. All it takes it patients and willingness and an understanding you will make mistakes and it won't be perfect. Find ways to work with the results.
nicknkim14 Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Wow... I just found this page...that paint work looks SICK!!!! I wish I had half the patience to try that..Great job!
Mooneyzs Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 That is one wild looking body. You can tell a lot of work has gone into it.
Dogfish_7 Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Looks like you've tried almost every technique on this one! Amazing work!
Rider Posted June 11, 2016 Author Posted June 11, 2016 Thanks Bruce, it is a bit of a cluster isn't it.
72 Charger Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I just dont know what to say really .....! I'm just stunned at the skill and how well you have done . That's wild Lloyd. When do you plan on finishing the paint?
Rider Posted June 12, 2016 Author Posted June 12, 2016 Cheers Dave. Hoping to get back at it in a day or so. Thanks for the encouragement.
Rider Posted June 18, 2016 Author Posted June 18, 2016 A bit more done. Still needs a ton more detailing and a complete redo on the edge fading on the roof panel.
Randy D Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Hi Lloyd, I'm loving your 'test' body Thanks for posting this!!! Randy
Rider Posted June 19, 2016 Author Posted June 19, 2016 Thanks Randy. So here's a little update. I painted the scoop/carbs/tunnel ram with colour changing paint then cleared it with holographic. I will be clearing the entire shell with the holographic paint. Not the best pic as the sun is rather low. One step closer to getting this done.Spaz Stix Chorem with Tamiya Green Clear.
72 Charger Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 I'm still amazed of the painting skills you have Lloyd....! Very wild
Intmd8r Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 I'm still amazed of the painting skills you have Lloyd....! Very wild x2. The body alone should have its own dedicated post lol
72 Charger Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 I love the 41 Willy's but it doesn't matter what the subject is with paint like that
bonehead23 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 You obviously have the patience of a supersaint. And a lot of talent and imagination. This is just incredible...the leaf on the roof looks as if you could pick it up and smoke it. And I bet it inspires many builders to think outside the box. It makes me want to try something similar. Grazzi.
