SfanGoch Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Who is this? Barbara Hale aka Della Street. Yeah, Baby!
SfanGoch Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 How about this? Carol Baker. Smoking hot in "Baby Doll".
sjordan2 Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Continuing the risk of driving away more Millennials...
SfanGoch Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Well, I aint no millenial, so Inger Stevens.Died too young.
sjordan2 Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Died too young. A very sad story, tied to Hollywood rampant racism. Here's another one for we in the AARP crowd:
SfanGoch Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Dorothy Malone. She was in "The Killer That Stalked New York", with Evelyn Keyes, which was on TV last week. Charles (Carlos, the Mambo instructor from "The Honeymooners") starred as the dirty rat in this film
sjordan2 Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 One thing I love about this thread is that the stars of yesteryear aren't being forgotten. They worked hard and had great careers for a while. Same goes for all media stars.
SfanGoch Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 If you have the opportunity, check out the actresses in pre-Motion Picture Production Code (also known as the "Hays Code) films. A lot of actresses who were stars in the late '30s to the '50s were cast in some meaty roles. That kind of skin wasn't seen again until 1968 when MPAA started rating films based on content.
Harry P. Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Yep. Those "pre-code" movies got quite racy. Actual nudity, yes, in the 1920s!
Harry P. Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Barbara Hale aka Della Street. Yeah, Baby! She can be my sidekick anytime... BTW... did you know she's still with us? 90-something, I think, but still alive and kicking.
SfanGoch Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Yup. She's the only major cast member from "Perry Mason" still alive.
madhorseman Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Yup. She's the only major cast member from "Perry Mason" still alive. And she's the mom of William Katt..from the original CARRIE movie. also from The Greatest American Hero
madhorseman Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 (edited) What about: or... Edited May 4, 2016 by madhorseman
SfanGoch Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 And she's the mom of William Katt..from the original CARRIE movie. also from The Greatest American Hero You neglected to mention that he played Paul Drake, Jr. in those gawdawful and tediously long "Perry Mason" TV movies.
SfanGoch Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 What about: Barbara Parkins. She was in the series "Peyton PLace". I had to suffer through that dreck on TV as a kid because Mom loved the show. She also starred in "Valley of the Dolls" along with Patty Duke, Paul Burke (Det. Adam Flint in the TV series "Naked City"), Martin Milner (Tod Stiles in "Route 66" and Officer Malloy in "Adam-12") and Sharon Tate.
SfanGoch Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Hey! I liked those Perry Mason TV movies! Nowhere as good as the original series. Too many great plots and guest stars.
SfanGoch Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 And for an extra point... Sue Lyon again before her distemper shot.

SfanGoch Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I forgot to put that in my post. I figured somebody would point that out after Barbara Parkins.
SfanGoch Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 This is going to be a tough one. Hint: She was in the first theatrical musical.
