If you have the opportunity, check out the actresses in pre-Motion Picture Production Code (also known as the "Hays Code) films. A lot of actresses who were stars in the late '30s to the '50s were cast in some meaty roles. That kind of skin wasn't seen again until 1968 when MPAA started rating films based on content.

And she's the mom of William Katt..from the original CARRIE movie.

Barbara Parkins. She was in the series "Peyton PLace". I had to suffer through that dreck on TV as a kid because Mom loved the show. She also starred in "Valley of the Dolls" along with Patty Duke, Paul Burke (Det. Adam Flint in the TV series "Naked City"), Martin Milner (Tod Stiles in "Route 66" and Officer Malloy in "Adam-12") and Sharon Tate.
