Albert Moore Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Hi All- Here is my 1/24 Monogram Ford 'T' Street Rod and trailer, built up ratrod style. Added plug wires to the engine, and sourced the wheels from various kits (front are from the kit). I bobbed the windshield frame and cut a new windshield from acetate sheet. Burlap was added to the bench seat and bed cover. Brass mesh and a photoetched "mudflap girl" was used to add character to the grill. Last but no least, necklace chain was used for the trailer safety chains. Thanks for looking!
wayne swayze Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 I like it! Great idea to use burlap for upholstery!
slusher Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Super nice and cool. What did you use to make the seat cover and bed cover???
Hubert Rollins Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 That is waaay cool!! Love the burlap seat covers!!!!
Albert Moore Posted May 2, 2016 Author Posted May 2, 2016 Thank you for the kudos, gang! I appreciate them. Super nice and cool. What did you use to make the seat cover and bed cover??? Hi Carl, It's a small weave burlap that comes these small bags used for storing beads/jewels. They can be found in that section of Hobby Lobby and usually come with four in a pack. Perfect for model car interiors. Cheers, Albert
Misha Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Nice build Albert of this classic kit! Especially like your green colour choice for the wheels, really pops out to make it unique for a rat rod.Cheers Misha
Modelbuilder Mark Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Very cool, I like it! You use the salt technique?
DrKerry Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Very nice, like the look and the weathering on it!!!!!!!
misterNNL Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 A very likable build and well done in the that rusty and crusty style.nice to see this classic kit done so well.
Helix Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Nice work on this Albert, if that was my build I would have put the white-walls on the car and wires on the trailer
