RestoModGuy Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 My tribute build to a 67 GP my dad bought new in 67 and owned until mid-90's, one of his and my favorite cars. This is the Modelhaus resin painted with Testors Mystic Maroon and lot's of clear.
Can-Con Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 (edited) Looks great ! My dad's best friend had a white '67 hardtop in '73/'74. Still remember the tour of Vancouver he took us on in it back then. Edited May 6, 2016 by Can-Con

SteveComing from you, that is a high compliment after seeing your 300's. I'm not even close in the same league as you. Yes,Modelhaus has this and the HT 67. Very well done castings, of course as always some trimming is required and the convertible is for some reason narrower than the HT in the rear, I had to section 3/8" from the rear bumper in the middle, hard to see I did but took some extra effort. the bumper fits well on the HT though.I'm digging into the HT this summer, my dad had one as well, love the GP's
unclescott58 Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Very cool! I've thought about ordering one before Modelhaus closes down. After seeing yours, I hope more than ever to get my chance to order one.
Ron Hamilton Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Wow!!!! That one is very nice. I have one of the hardtops in my stash. A fellow who owned an auto parts shop near a former barber had a Royal Plum '67, with a white vinyl roof and interior. It was not restored, but was in decent shape. I am leaning towards Turquoise with a Black Vinyl roof and interior when I build mine..

I have a '67 Bonneville that I hope to do soon.I guess with the issues at Modelhaus, I'll just stick to that for now. Wow!!!! That one is very nice. I have one of the hardtops in my stash. Snake45 Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Wow, VERY nice! The front end of the '67 Pontiacs is so weird that they have been a favorite of mine since 1967. (I always thought they looked like something Batman would drive if he were, say, an insurance agent.) Well done and model on!
Helix Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Jim that looks sweet mate, Like Steve, I have the MPC 67 Bonneville to do when I pull my finger out one day
peekay Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Always loved the '67 and that's a really nice representation of it.
59-Desoto Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Awesome , for sure a missing link in the world of modeling
towman1271 Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Amazing job.. Turned out so nice & your interior details are impressive
CometMan Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Very nice Jim, definitely one you don't see too often!
Craig Irwin Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Great job, I always thought the 67 was the last good looking full sized Pontiac, and I was brought up in a Pontiac family!

I have a '67 Bonneville Hardtop in primer, that I have not decided on the color. I am leaning towards Dark Blue, with a Black Interior, which should look good on the car. I know that the Royal Plum will be stunning on that car.
