bronzzhorse Posted May 30, 2016 Author Posted May 30, 2016 (edited) For some reason, this Landing gear cover looks crooked in this pic, but I assure you, it's not. Edited May 30, 2016 by bronzzhorse
Kit Basher Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Nice! I have this kit in my "to do" pile. How is it to build?
gtx6970 Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Sweet,I normally don't do planes . But after seeing one of these in the flesh a few years back. I keep thinking I want to do one for the shelf
bronzzhorse Posted May 30, 2016 Author Posted May 30, 2016 Nice! I have this kit in my "to do" pile. How is it to build?Honestly, it only took about 6 hours, and was actually a complete bore..... almost EVERYTHING is done in flat black, and the only place with any real detailing is the cockpit area...Mine was a Revell kit, and I was greatly dissapointed when I opened it.....There were parts broken from the sprue floating around all over the box, fuselage panels warped to the moon and back...I had to have 10 clothespins to clamshell the fuselage together. The decaling was honestly the most enjoyable part of the whole build.
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Beautiful airplane, and it looks like you did a fine job with the kit. I was fortunate enough to see a few of these take off and land when they were operational out of Kadena AFB. Fell in love, still am.
