feretzrus Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 (edited) 2 Datsuns by Doyosha (formerly Yamada) models. The 1/23 scale blue '71 Bluebird 610 had only a flat chassis plate with battery door and a flat interior plate to make space for motorization. This was replaced with a chassis and suspension from Tamiya's '72 Skyline with many of the interior pieces molded/cast from a 1/20 scale Bluebird kit and modified. The 1/25 Sunny Coupe had the same chassis/interior setup; replaced with Revell Datsun 510 chassis and interior, with the dashboard molded/cast from the Hasegawa Sunny truck kit that just happened to show up. Thanks for looking! Edited May 30, 2016 by feretzrus
Daddyfink Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Nice! Very nice!! Who's kits are they? I really like that 1200! But that 710 is no slouch either! Great job on both!
peekay Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Great to see some unusual Japanese subjects, specially when so nicely done.(And I liked your choices for European cars in your other post. Thought I was the only one here who'd like to see a Ford Zephyr or a Triumph Herald.)
Harry P. Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Well now! There are two cars you never see in model form. Nicely done.
Helix Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Most impressive builds there Thomas, well done and thanks for sharing
Nacho Z Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Although the subject matter is not my cup of tea, as they say, I do like well built models, and these two are very well built models! Great paint, great trim work and nice job on the panel lines.
Shardik Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Some nice kit bashing and scratch building going on here, and some nice models as a result. Now if I could just find a B210...
