Xingu Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Small turbo diesel. Not knowledgeable enough to point you to any kits that would have one though.
modelfink Posted June 11, 2016 Author Posted June 11, 2016 You can have 8 carbs or fuel injection, but not both. I'm using the same motor in my '48 Ford custom- I used the 8 carbs and made aluminum velocity stacks and it looks pretty wicked. The plug wires are shrouded so that makes it real easy to wire, just need to drill a hole in the ends of the shrouds big enough to glue 4 wires in. The front cover has a nice flat bottom that makes mounting pretty easy. Plumbing and linking 8 carbs will offset the ease of wiring the heads. I've seen some pics of other intakes that could be cool to scratchbuild.
Tom Geiger Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 This '41 Plymouth flathead six is in my '34 Ford sedan...
Old Nasty Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I'm planning a deuce coupe with the Revell Chevy 409. I haven't decided on the intake yet though.
Snake45 Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Look at this beauty Now for some strange reason I have a burning urge to build something with an early Hemi in it.
TarheelRick Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I am trying to remember which older Lincoln kit has the V-8, or maybe a V-12, with the exhaust exiting through the top of the block and the intakes on the side. I want to say it may have been a 1928 model, possibly one the the older Gangbusters series.
