RestoModGuy Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 This was my senior year of High School 1979 drafting design project. I drew it, built it from sheet plastic and plastic-wood with squadron green putty. There are a few kit parts, tires/wheels, interior, engine from an old F1 racer but other than that, this one is all my design and build. I was very lucky to have it survive nearly 40-years and still stay together.
louie Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 I love it. Nice design. I agree with lntmd8r, it's crazy! Thanks. Jeff
misterNNL Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Great old survivor with outstanding styling and execution. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us.

Plastheniker Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 A really ambitious project and beautifully executed!
Intmd8r Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I find a new appreciation for you efforts ever time I look at the pics.Just noticed the steering wheel-did you source that from the AMT '53 Ford P/U? It looks identical to the one I just used in my '29 Rat Rod. Talk about polar opposites......
mod3l Lover Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 That is very cool indeed!! It reminds me of one of the 80's designs by Pinheadfarina. Or something like that!! David S.
GTJUNIOR Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Very nice scratch building. Awesome that you still have it in one piece as a memento of your youth.
bbowser Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 That reminds me of the Craftsman contests back in the '50s (I think). Amazing work, I love the paint.
Yahshu Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Totally awesome, must have some real bad blind spots though, I'd still drive it, and it's survived 40yrs which is really cool.
disabled modeler Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Jim... Awesome work and creativity...! Love the paint work too.
Spex84 Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Awesome. That's a piece of history right there! I'm so glad it has survived. You did a fantastic job designing and building it all those years ago. The fact that it has opening doors is particularly impressive, considering the materials it's constructed from!
Hubert Rollins Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 That is waaay cool!!!!! I certainly hope you made an A!!!
Sixties Sam Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 That's a work of art! Great design and scratch building work!Sam
